  1. Titre pretty much sums it up. While doing a "light X magic logs on fire" skilling tasks, since we can't burn fire in town, was to take my logs to the bonfire. To my surprise, I got the xp, but it did not count towards the task. I understand that I'm technically not lighting the logs on fire, rather I am throwing the in a fire, but I think that should still count!

    Marks of Grace/Graceful Set

This suggestion stems from the medium wanderer task for 6 elixirs of spright. Currently they cost 500 marks of grace each - that's 72 laps of the highest level rooftop course unlocked at 90 agility. It takes a little over 37 seconds to do one lap while fully focusing on the lap and about 45-50 seconds if doing it more casually. That means it takes over 44 minutes to get enough marks for a single elixir while fully focused and about an hour if you are watching youtube on the side. Now multiply that by 6 times. That's well over 4 hours if permafocusing or around 6 hours if doing it casually. While whining about this in-game, someone asked if I have full graceful, as that would double the marks you receive (x7->x14) and you could then say ah 3hour grind isnt that bad, BUT it takes 1050 Marks of Grace to get the doubling effect and that's another 150 Ardougne laps on it's own, that would take somewhere between ~1,5hrs (focused) and ~2hrs (casual). So even if you grind out graceful first, that only shaves off the total time for all 6 elixirs by around an hour or so. But if that doesn't rustle your jimmys, let's look at it from a completely different scenario: let's say I am a little casual Timmy on normal mode and I decided I will grind out 200m agility by running the rooftop. Besides the goal of 200Mxp I am looking forward on getting lots and lots of Marks of Grace and spending them, after the grind is over, to obtain some well-deserved, good rewards... UH OH. I just ran my first rooftop, got some Marks and when I opened the exchange interface, I got bitch-slapped by the incredibly unrewarding shop: Amylase crystals and Stamina potions are absolutely worthless as you can get more than a lifetime supply of them by just doing your average, everyday, regular PVM activities and there are far better methods of training herblore; XP lamps are well common from previously mentioned activities, opening some boxes and (I think) crystal keys, and they just aren't that good; Elixirs of Spright are sort-of decent for their +25% chance of skilling pet drops, but by the end of my turboaids 938 lap grind (while using skiller tokens for 2xXP(~213kXP per lap) I will only afford around 13 of them (24 with graceful); Graceful set is virtually useless as per the abundance of Stamina Pots and the fact that its 2x Mark effect is only active when all 6 pieces are equiped. So basically little Timmy's long and gruesome grind nets him fuck-all. So, a few of my suggestions would be: Increase the base amount of Marks of Grace received per lap by at least double (or something like 1/3 chance to receive either the base amount, 2x the amount or 3x the amount). Reduce the current prices of the items in the shop by at least half. Change the Graceful Set pieces to include passive effect of ~15-20% chance of receiving 2x Marks of Grace PER piece worn and change the full set effect to grant 3x Marks of Grace Include more economy based rewards i.e. GP, Plat Tokens, Caskets/Huge Caskets, all sorts of boxes, etc. The suggested, baseline value of the exchange would be at 1Bgp/500MoG (1 Mark of Grace = 2M gp). So the price of something like Huge Casket would be 500 Marks valued at 1B and you would not be guaranteed to receive that 1B as per nature of the Huge Casket. While I do believe the last suggestion on my list to make it more rewarding overall is a must and maybe should be on a thread of its own, I am not suggesting to implement all of these - even a single one of them would make it nice, but I do believe you could mix&match a couple of them and make it so much better. Constructive criticism of my topic, additional suggestions/changes or even summaries of own experiences with problems discussed in the topic are welcome and encouraged.
  3. Just some thoughts & Ideas I have that I've also seen other players talking about as well: 1. Add an enchantment into the game for event hunter gear / event pets with low success rates that increase token yield (would give a use to dupe pieces / event pets) 2. Add overall enchantment success vs fail rates (would give players a better idea of their chances compared to the current % system) 3. Similar to the previously mentioned event hunter gear enchants, add in skilling equipment enchants with low success rates that have chance to boost exp rate (ie for 5% to 10%) 4. Add in a skilling task streak system (would give players more of an incentive to not cherry pick tasks & actually do the tasks the skilling master gives) 5. Add a graceful set enchant into the chest (potentially need all sets dyed) + 1k marks (roughly) with new set increasing marks of grace yield + exp boost 6. Add skilling pet enchants into the game, with the result being a pet that gives an exp boost in their respective skills - could make pets that are easier to obtain like heron (sorry nota), beaver, golden chin, tangleroot, rock golem more modest rates of 20-40% success rate and give full pet sets like the runecrafting & agility pets 100% rates as they are obviously much harder to obtain. I believe this would give players more of an incentive to grind for pets & get multiple pets rather then just rcing them - can also add the materials of the respective pet into the enchant which could potentially make skilling supplies slightly for viable as a means for cash Overall I love what the server has done in terms of the skilling updates, and I know many want pvm oriented content but I feel these updates would further balance out the content on the server and give players more of an incentive to grind skilling. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any other feedback or ideas - or see any problems with these suggestions.
  4. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the ULTIMATE GUIDE to RUNEX! It has been a long time since this guide existed. Given the fact that it was never fully completed the first time around, I think it's about time I finally fix that. This guide will take a long time to complete and will endlessly be updated as new methods, bosses, minigames and content in general are released. Because of that, I welcome any and all help keeping the guide as up-to-date and accurate as possible. If you would like to help out, notice something wrong, or just want to talk - hit me up on Discord at 52xp#0001. I, along with the community, would be grateful for your contribution(s)! 6. This guide will act as an in depth guide to leveling up Farming on any mode. First and foremost, you're going to need supplies. To get what you need, go to the Skilling shop found in the Edgeville shops. You're going to need: 1 Rake, 1 Watering Can, 1 Seed Dibber, a varying amount of Supercompost, and Seeds. Seed XP values and level requirements will be found below NOTE: These are the total values of planting and harvesting a full crop, not individual crops. Now that you've collected the supplies you need, head on over to one of the Allotment patches. These can be found under the Farming tab in your Training Teleports. To efficiently level up Farming, you should be rotating between both Catherby and Falador. If you have a Daily task requiring you to farm Allotments, the Task teleport will bring you to the Catherby allotment patch. When you start the Farming skill, you must first clear the allotments. To do this, you use the Rake purchased on the Allotment, clearing it of weeds (which will be placed in your inventory. Drop them, they're junk). After the allotment is clear of weeds, you must use a Supercompost on it. This will prevent your plants from becoming diseased and dying. Next, you must plant the seeds by using them on the allotment. Finally, after the seeds have been planted you must use the watering can on the plants to prevent them from withering and dying. As well as vegetable allotments, there are herb patches which allow one to grow Herbs. To grow herbs, follow the steps provided above at the Herb patch. You do not, however, need to water Herbs as they do not wilt. In the event that you forget to use supercompost or water an allotment or patch, the plant will become diseased. In order to clear the allotment or herb patch of the diseased plant, you must use a spade purchased from the General Store on it. At level 85 Farming, you will unlock the achievement Cultivator III. This achievement will grant you the Magic Secateurs item. Whilst equipped, the Magic Secateurs will hasten the crop growth rate, and it can be used in pace of a Rake and Seed Dibber. At level 99 Farming, you may purchase the Farming Cape, which hastens growth rate by an additional 10% and turns harvested crops into Noted items. With the addition of the Cavern of Prosperity, two new methods of farming have become available. After obtaining a Skiller's Tome II or greater, you may choose to kill Sapling (Lv. 50) or Deciduous (Lv. 100) Tanglefoot. To gain Farming experience whilst killing these, you must have magic secateurs equipped. Protect from Magic is reccomended. Ents and Tanglefoot also drop potted saplings, which can be planted at the tree patches. Fruit trees take 16 minutes to grow, and require specific farming items to be protected.

    ~pest control~

Topic: pest control Suggestion: should add a minigame, similar were u get points to spend on experience, skilling supplies, u could even make it so skillers can do something to get points in minigame and still get a reward Reason: itd be a fun way to change up grinding for primes, p.s.s i posted this on wrong forum account my other ingame name is hd thrill
  8. Hello, Today I am here to present a Skilling Point system that would invite more players to achieve the 120 capes that people are suggesting for the QoL update. I think that for a lot of prime/supreme players, we go through a lot more skilling than the other game modes. Especially as iron men, where resources cannot be bought. Yes, the counter argument to this thread is that achievement rewards are a thing, but they give lousy rewards for skillers besides the cosmetics that give bonus, and I think I can speak for a lot of players that a skilling point system would be unique and fun. Some ideas for the skilling rewards: Purely, the skilling point system would be very similar to the runex system. For certain activities being done, a certain amount of skilling points will be acquired. They can be spent in a shop like the RuneX shop for certain items that may require XP amounts for requirements to wear them. This would create a tier like system that would make players with higher XP counts feel more prestigious. Also, I feel that it would really invoke a lot more players to go for 120 capes once they are added into the game There is a lot more that could be added to this idea, its just the matter of the community coming together for a new content idea. There are currently only 2 players with max XP. I think this would invoke some more players to start skilling again. Amethyst
  9. Just as the title says, a cape to show that you've gotten 120 in a skill (104,273,167) This would add more goals/rewards for high-level/maxed players The design would really just be skillcapes with some particle trail(if possible) and similar effects to things like the Fused Slayer Helm(where it's sort of animated in a way) and such also it would be nice if the forum default text color was set to this brighter white color, as I hate this default gray color lul
  10. I've seen a few players wanting this so I decided to suggest it myself. I feel this will add a nice bit of extra variety to daily challenges 1)Crafting - Cut X number of gems(of x type) 2)Firemaking - Burn X number of logs(of x type) 3)Hunter - Catch X number of creature(of x type) 4)etc. 5)etc.

    Summoning guide(Updated)

What is summoning? Summoning is a skill that allows you to summon familiars that provide benefits in combat Each requires a certain number of spirit shards and charms to make How do you train it? To train summoning, you have to collect charms in order to make pouches Gathering charms Charms are dropped by almost any NPC on Runex One of the best ways to gather large amounts of charms is by killing Fiyr Shades They can be found under the money making activities teleport and can drop up to 10 of any kind of charms Using charms There's no one specific familiar to use your charms on, so i'll provide levels and items for certain charms (ALWAYS make the highest level pouch you can for each charm type) Gold Charms Level 1+: Spirit Wolf - Wolf Bones Level 4+: Dreadfowl - Raw Chicken Level 13+: Thorny Snail - Thin Snail Level 40+: Bull Ant - Marigolds Level 52+: Spirit Terrorbird - Raw Bird Meat Level 67+: War Tortoise - Tortoise Shell Level 71+: Arctic Bear - Polar Kebbit Fur Green Charms Level 18+: Desert Wyrm - Bucket of Sand Level 28+: Compost Mound - Compost Level 54+: Abyssal Parasite - Abyssal Charm Level 56+: Ibis - Harpoon Level 62+: Abyssal Lurker- Abyssal Charm Level 69+: Fruit bat - Banana Level 88+: Unicorn Stallion - Unicorn Horn Level 93+: Abyssal Titan- Abyssal Charm Crimson Charms Level 19+: Spirit Scoprion - Bronze Claws Level 22+: Spirit Tz-kih - Obsidian Charm Level 49+: Bloated Leech - Raw Beef Level 85+: Swamp Titan - Swamp Lizard Level 96+: Pack Yak - Yak-hide(must be collected from yaks) Blue Charms (Don't use until 70+) Level 23+: Albino Rat - Raw Rat Meat Level 55+: Spirit Jelly - Jug of Water Level 73+: Obsidian Golem - Obsidian Charm Level 79+: Fire/Ice/Moss titans - Fire/air+water/earth talismans(respectively) Level 83+: Lava titan - Obsidian Charm Level 89+: Geyser Titan - Water Talisman Once you have the charms, go northwest of ::home to the summoning master(by the shops) Alternatively, you can use the summoning teleport through the "training teleports" in the spellbook You can buy all the ingredients you'll need to train summoning from him Once you have the ingredients, click the "infuse pouch" option, then find and click the correct familiar. Other Useful Tip There's a bank right next to the summoning master for donators and primes Alternatively, you can make pouches and sell them at the general store While getting 99, you'll finish two achievements that provide with charms Summoner 1 - 10 Gold Charms - 5 Green Charms Summoner 2 - 50 Crimson Charms Charming imp Collects Charms and increased droprate Reward from the Runex point shop It is much more useful on supreme or prime gamemodes over normal/hard Crystal Keys, Prize boxes, task scrolls, donator boxes, etc. These can drop upwards of 75 charms each(if you're lucky enough), can help a lot overall if you manage to get them Good luck on getting 99! p.s I feel bad for you primes needing thousands of charms

    Ultimate Skiller Guide

What I think of skilling Now for skilling I find it enjoyable because there is always something to do just like a iron. I never liked skilling but my friend X Chris got me into it I am nearly a maxed skiller in 24 hours game time I play very consistently on it and I find it enjoyable. I recommend all who do see this guy to try to make a skiller and test it out if you want more of a challenge change your gamemode I am a normal. Mining Ok so first on the list is mining, mining is a click intensive skill. I would do copper to 15 and then iron to 50, because iron is used in smithing and you can save them for when you do smith. Now the reason I would do mining to 50 is the gem rocks you can do them to 80 and have 99 crafting banked. But if you are going for xp I recommend the desert granite mine when you hit 50 it will be the best xp to 99. Also don't forget to collect your achievements at 10 mining you can get the prospector hat which give you a xp boost. Agility For agility I recommend you do gnome stronghold to 35 then go to barbarian agility course. Now when you finish the barbarian agility course and 52 agility. I recommend you go straight to the wilderness agility it is way better xp and you get 3 marks of grace every lap which is a huge difference and is better for the goal I have in mind. The goal is full graceful it is good in the long run for the achievement and the completionist cape. Now the reason I said agility at wilderness is not only is it better xp you can get full graceful in 367 laps instead of 550 doing barbarian it saves a lot of time. Also don't forget to collect your achievements at 80 agility you can get boots of lightness which gives an energy reduction by 25% Very click intensive. Smithing For smithing you I recommend bronze to 15 and then iron to 30. When you do steel at 30 you can go to 40 which then you can do gold which is good for crafting, because you can make necklaces and rings and do that until 70. Now you can do also do steel which is level 30 to 70 and with steel you can make cannonballs which is used for the cannon. Now when your level 70 I recommend it to 99, because you can smith bolts out of it which you can use later for fletching also with the gems with mining you can make your own ruby and diamond bolts. Now if you want the fastest xp I recommend runite which is available at 85 smithing semi afk. Herblore Now for herblore this will be one of the harder ones for skillers because we cannot do combat for seeds and herbs. I recommend doing your dailys because there is one which is potion mixing and that gives you 45 harralander, 45 ranarr, 25 dwarf weed, 25 torstols, and 10 snap dragons along with 5m cash. Now herbs are expensive they range form 20k to 80k and can be hard to find people selling them sometimes. For all the secondary items there is a npc named master crafter you can right click him for the herblore store he is north west of edge bank. Now as for leveling I cannot say much I recommend cleaning and making all the potions you can I recommend saving atleast 150 for the next daily. Also don't forget to collect your achievements you can collect herbs from them which you can use to level semi afk. Fishing I recommend shrimps which are level one to trout which is 20 then 20 to 40 which is lobsters. You then can go to 50 which is swordfish which then you proceed to 76 which is sharks to 99. You catch the fish fast no matter what level so that's why I recommend going straight to the next high tier fish. Also don't forget to collect your achievements they give you free fish which you can use to for cooking xp. ALSO SAVE ALL OF YOUR FISH EVEN SHRIMP FOR COOKING semi afk. Thieving For thieving I do not recommend the stalls at all they are slow xp. I recommend men which are 1 to 25 which are warriors then warriors to 40 which are guards. Proceed to do that until 53 which are the Ardogne knights do those to 70 which then there is a paladin you can steal from then do the paladin to 80 which their is a hero. Do the hero to 99 he will gives you dragonstone gems and diamonds and you can use them for crafting later he also gives you gp. Now always collect your achievements during this they give you a xp boost for thieving it is the thrifty fingers achievement very click intensive. Cooking Now for cooking you are set from fishing rewards you have 99 cooking banked if you didn't save your shrimp you will need to . Now Also don't forget to collect your achievements at level 60 you can gain cooking gloves from the achievement culinary arts II. Lets hope you saved all your fish from 1-99 including shrimps so you don't have to go back this is semi afk. Crafting Now for craft if you did mine somes gems and pickpocket the paladin and smith some gold you are set. I recommend you do leather to 25 then you can do sapphires from there do all your gems and cut them. You can then proceed to makes necklaces to 99 when you finish cutting the gems use all your gems you should have 99 crafting banked. If you don't I recommend mining or the paladin again so get some gems this is semi afk Firemaking Now for this I recommend you burn all your logs as your going for 99, I recommend regular logs which are 1, to oak which are 15, to willow which are 30, to maple which are 45, to yews which are 60, to magic which are 75. Now if your burning your logs as woodcutting you will have 99 firemaking before woodcutting. Also don't forget to collect your achievements there is an achievement called pyrotechnician I which gives you all golden tinderbox use that on your way to 99 it gives you bonus xp this is click intensive. Fletching Now for fletching you are set for the higher levels but before you get there I recommend do this after 99 woodcutting and firemaking. So do regular logs to 20 which are oak, oak to willow which is 35, willow to maple which is 50, then maple to 63. The reason being is because you will have the bolts you could fletch but if you didn't take that route do it to 65 which are yews, then to magic which are 75 then finish this up to 99. Also don't forget to collect your achievements during fletching they gives you bows and bowstring for you to fletch for xp also this is semi afk. Woodcutting Now for this as you go by levels remember to collect your lumberjack achievements they give you armor pieces which give you a xp boost. So while woodcutting I recommend you burn all your logs as you go so you can get 99 firemaking while woodcutting and then do fletching after. So start off with regular logs which are 1, to oak which are 15, to willow which are 30, to maple which are 45, to yews which are 60, to magic which are 75, proceed to do magics to 99 this is a semi afk. Runecrafting I recommend air runes to level 20 which are body runes then to 35 which are chaos, to 44 which are natures, to 54 which are laws, to 65 which are deaths, to 77 which are bloods then proceed to do until 99. Now for this there isn't to much but it is click intensive Slayer Now as a skiller this will be very hard there is very few ways to level this up. One being is agility you can buy xp lamps which are 15 graceful marks and the other being from achievements you get lamps usually every time. If you wanna take the easy way out and buy a donator lamp that will you get you 99 slayer IF YOU ARE ON NORMAL MODE. Farming For farming this is essential for your 99 herblore also don't forget to collect your achievements you will get seeds from that which then you can plant and use for herbs. When you hit 85 there is an achievement for secateurs which works as seed dibber and grows your crops faster. THIS IS UNFINISHED Ok personally I did all my stats like this so this is based off my experience and how I did them this is my first guide I hope it helps people.

    Skilling Content??

Prayer here, also known as "Q" I'm here to discuss and suggest some Skilling Content! For me, and maybe others. Some people might not be fans of combat. so.. maybe you can take a few of my suggestions? - Skilling Pets , i would love to see these implemented into the game! - (For farming update in future) Seed Stalls! non combat people can thieve for Farming! or maybe we can buy seeds through some sort of store? - Fixing Firemaking, i can be 90+ firemaking and still not light a yew log quick enough. - Clay items! add x2 xp to whatever item goes to that skill, from a mini game in pre eoc. maybe obtain through skilling box? or achievement? - Maybe buff mining a bit.. Mining and smithing does not go well together as it is, maybe try and get MLM out? - Graeful, maybe cheap achievement points in store, or add a rooftop course or 2? - Something some people may like to see is a Fashion Scape store? like.. Gnome Scarf for 1m.. or Vestment robes for 2m.. something like that! - More items to obtain through skilling to sell, because as of now, its kind of hard to make money from skilling. Thank you so much for checking out my suggestion list, Please feel free to discuss down in the comments below, also, support if you'd love to see some of these ideas! - Prayer
