[Feburary 22nd, 2018] Patch notes, and a look ahead!

Content updates:

  • Surge spell fixes
    • Fixed issue with infinite rune sources
      • Rune requirements will now properly display (staves, etc.)
    • Fixed tome of fire functionality with fire surge
      • For sake of balance, damage bonus is slightly lower than other fire spells
    • Capped fire surge damage in PvP combat to 56
  • Runecrafting
    • Added rune essence pounches
      • Speak with the wizard in the rune abyss to purchase these pouches
      • Each pouch costs coins, and the corresponding tiers require different runecrafting levels to use
  • KDR reset
    • Players can now reset their kill/death ratio for 50,000,000 coins
    • Speak to King percival at home to select this option
  • Granite equipment
    • Granite longswords are now noteable
    • Granite boots are now noteable
  • Fletching
    • Darts are now made directly upon "item on item" usage, without prompting an interface
  • Lava wagtails
    • Improved experience rates
  • Lava eels
    • Improved experience rates
  • PvP training grounds
    • The blood money chest will now deal 1-3 damage against players (per steal)
  • Elite zone
    • Fixed issue with fortune elixir overriding 2.5X runex point zone bonus
  • VIP zone
    • Added wilderness bosses to the spawning list
    • Added banker and trading post to the zone
    • Reduced cooldown for spawn limits from 24 hours to 12 hours
  • Gambling zone
    • Added trading posts next to the bank booths
  • Perdu (item recovery)
    • Added the following items to the recovery system:
      • Cape of legends
      • Lumberjack equipment
      • Golden tinderbox
      • Gnome goggles
      • Boots of lightness
      • Pirate's hook
      • Magic secateurs
  • Youtuber rank
    • Fixed crown issue with private messaging

Looking ahead (future updates)

  • Our focus for these next few weeks will be, including but not limited to:
    • Raids system
      • We are hoping to finish off the month by releasing Runex Raids on February 28th, 2018
    • Skilling improvements
      • Shortly after releasing raids, are focus will shift toward revitalizing various skills
      • This will include new content, alongside new rewards/incentives to boost viability

Raids hype! Lots of useful features in this update, particularly the blood money chest (for us staff anyway) and the rune pouches.

wtf why bm chest at training grounds now deal dmg when u loot bm ? It's just non-sence ! I understood that it's like agains autoclickers, but it ruined all idea of thet chest . ! When you pretend that u steal bm but actually u are full geared and waiting while someone come's in to kill him.

 

At least make that players who have online time 5days+ not receive dmg while loot. Otherwise now training grounds is all about stealing bm.. thats it ( get full inv of food steal, steal, stea, eat,eat, steal, steal see some on coming , run out, wait while he gone, go in and again ,steal,steal,eat...  )

This was done, as you said, to prevent players autoclicking the chest. 

If you can provide some decent reasoning as to why the chest should not deal damage, maybe it will be reversed. However, pretending to be a skiller just to anti-pk someone at the training grounds is a terrible reason.

That's how chest thieving works here.

do you even get any loot from killing people in the pvp training grounds?
