52xp 308 Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the ULTIMATE GUIDE to RUNEX! It has been a long time since this guide existed. Given the fact that it was never fully completed the first time around, I think it's about time I finally fix that. This guide will take a long time to complete and will endlessly be updated as new methods, bosses, minigames and content in general are released. Because of that, I welcome any and all help keeping the guide as up-to-date and accurate as possible. If you would like to help out, notice something wrong, or just want to talk - hit me up on Discord at 52xp#0001. I, along with the community, would be grateful for your contribution(s)! Now let's get to the nitty gritty! 52xp 308 Posted June 10, 2018 (edited) This section is mostly devoted to things that are generally useful but have no place taking up an entire post in the guide. Any client issues you're having - be it because you're on a Mac, having black screen issues, or anything else - can likely be solved here. Spoiler Most issues with your client can be resolved in a matter of seconds and shouldn't return again barring any unforeseen circumstances. The FIRST THING you should try if your client is having ANY ISSUES is the Client Repair Tool, found here: https://runex.io/assets/Repair%20Tool.jar Once you open the Repair Tool, choose the option that best describes your issue. Close any open clients and click "Start Repair." Once the tool is finished, try opening your client again and hopefully you're all setup. If the Repair Tool did not solve your problem, there are a few different things you can try. Option 1 Check to make sure your Java is updated by clicking here. Once you've updated Java, restart your client and try to login. Option 2 Delete your cache and re-install the client by clicking here. You can find the cache for Runex by navigating to C:\Users\YourCompName. Option 3 Run a quick Google search for "Jarfix" or download it directly here. Once it's downloaded, open it and your .jar applications should be fixed. If you can only left click on your client and your right click is not working, try these steps: 1.) Uninstall all forms of Java, JRE, JDK, etc. from your computer 2.) Uninstall Runex and all files associated with it (including the cache) 3.) Re-download Java, JRE, JDK from Java's website (avoid JDK 9, use 😎 4.) Re-download the Runex.jar using the link in the navigation bar above this topic. If you aren't on a Windows OS, there are a couple useful threads on the forums to help you out. I would personally recommend checking out RogueMX's Quick Client Fixes: Below you will find a list of all (known) commands on Runex. This list will include commands for each donator rank, staff member rank and of course those accessible by anyone. Unfortunately, I can't be sure of every command because I doubt Ryan, Ramzi, or Nate want to give that info out. Regardless, if you're looking for a great hide'n'seek spot or you're just not sure how to get to your donator zone - this is the place for you. 52xp 308 Posted August 19, 2021 (edited) Crafting, provided you have the supplies, is one of the fastest 99s you can achieve here on Runex. All you will be doing is cutting gems, converting raw hides and creating shiny jewelry on your way to 99 Crafting - all of which can be done with very high experience rates per hour. 1.) Required & Useful Items Here on Runex, all you need to begin Crafting are a Chisel, Needle and Thread. There are also several different experience bonus items on Runex to capitalize on: Spoiler Skiller Tokens Grants 2x Skilling experience per 10k exp earned Catalyst Tokens Grants 3x all experience per 5k exp earned Varrock Armor (1-4) Grants 5-20% (1-4) all experience gained Safety Gloves Grants 2.5% all experience gained Fighting Boots Grants 2.5% all experience gained Skilling Backpack Grants 5% all experience when worn Studious Elixir Grants 25% Skilling experience for 60 minutes Scholar's Blessing Doubles the cap of Experience Tokens (Skiller, Catalyst, Mythic) 2.) General Information There are several different ways you can train Crafting, all of which are "okay" paths to take. Spoiler No matter your method to 99, you should get a couple of levels first using a Needle, Thread and some Leather. To maximize efficiency on Runex, you want to obtain 20 Crafting using this method. 1-7 ~ Leather Gloves 7-11 ~ Leather Boots 11-18 ~ Leather Vambs 18-20 ~ Leather Chaps After achieving 20 Crafting, move on to the next step - Efficient Method - found below. 3.) Efficient Method The fastest way to train Crafting from 1 to 99 by far: Spoiler If you have the money, the most efficient way to train Crafting is by cutting gems (easier to obtain than hides). 20-27 ~ Uncut Sapphires 27-34 ~ Uncut Emeralds 34-43 ~ Uncut Rubies 43-55 ~ Uncut Diamonds 55-99 ~ Uncut Dragonstones Alternatively, if you've got the GP, you could instead use: 55-72 ~ Uncut Dragonstones 72-99 ~ Uncut Onyxes 4.) Alternative Method(s) While cutting gems is the quickest way to 99, there are several other methods.. Spoiler 5.) Other Useful Info Below is a list of all (used) Uncut Gems, their experience, and some more useful information for the skill. Spoiler Experience per Gem cut Uncut Sapphire ~ Crafting Level: 20Normal: 6,750 expHard: 2,500 expSupreme: 1,000 expPrime: 150 exp Uncut Emerald ~ Crafting Level: 27Normal: 9,112.5 expHard: 3,375 expSupreme: 1,350 expPrime: 202.5 exp Uncut Ruby ~ Crafting Level: 34Normal: 11,475 expHard: 4,250 expSupreme: 1,700 expPrime: 255 exp Uncut Diamond ~ Crafting Level: 43Normal: 14,512.5 expHard: 5,375 expSupreme: 2,150 expPrime: 322.5 exp Uncut Dragonstone ~ Crafting Level: 55Normal: 18,562.5 expHard: 6,875 expSupreme: 2,750 expPrime: 412.5 exp Uncut Onyx ~ Crafting Level: 72Normal: 22,612.5 expHard: 8,375 expSupreme: 3,350 expPrime: 502.5 exp Crafting Zenyte Jewelry A lot of players seem to have trouble crafting Zenyte jewelry - so I figured we'd touch on that. First you need to create the Uncut Zenyte gem itself - here's how: Zenyte Shard + Cut Onyx = Uncut Zenyte Once you have the Uncut Zenyte, cut it to obtain a Zenyte gem. With this, you need a Gold Bar and the corresponding Mould. Find a Furnace (found at ::dzone or East of ::home's bank) and use the Gold Bar on it. Upon doing so, you should be greeted with an interface for crafting Zenyte jewelry, like normal. :^) Edited August 23, 2021 by 52xp
52xp 308 Posted August 19, 2021 (edited) MINING Mining is one of the slower skills here on Runex. While there are multiple methods from 1-99, some aimed towards more profit and some more experience per hour, there is only one method that stands out as the absolute fastest all while making profit in the end as well.. and we'll talk about all of these methods below. 1.) Pickaxes & Useful Items Here on Runex, we only have four important Pickaxes that you can obtain: Spoiler Iron Pickaxe Mining Level Required: 1 Wielding Level Required (Attack): 1 Rune Pickaxe Mining Level Required: 41 Dragon Pickaxe Mining Level Required: 61 3rd Age Pickaxe Mining Level Required: 61 There are also several different experience bonus items on Runex to capitalize on: Spoiler Skiller Tokens Grants 2x Skilling experience per 10k exp earned Catalyst Tokens Grants 3x all experience per 5k exp earned Varrock Armor (1-4) Grants 5-20% (1-4) all experience gained Safety Gloves Grants 2.5% all experience gained Fighting Boots Grants 2.5% all experience gained Skilling Backpack Grants 5% all experience when worn Studious Elixir Grants 25% Skilling experience for 60 minutes Scholar's Blessing Doubles the cap of Experience Tokens (Skiller, Catalyst, Mythic) 2.) Ores & Locations Alongside the vast amount of useful items Runex has for Mining, we also have a ton of mining locations. For the purpose of this guide, I will only be displaying the useful ones below. Spoiler All four of the mines displayed below can be found by navigating to your spellbook, clicking "Skilling Teleports" and selecting the Mining option. Al Kharid Mine Dwarven Mine Desert Granite Mine Lunar Gem Mine 3.) Profitable Method The most profitable Mining method from 1-99 is as follows.. Spoiler PLEASE NOTE: If you are a donator, the ::dzone is much better for EVERY ORE!!/ 1-15 ~ Copper/Tin Ore Best found at the Al Kharid Mine on the far Northern side. 15-30 ~ Iron Ore Best found at the Al Kharid Mine, just south of the Copper/Tin. 30-55 ~ Coal Ore Best found at the Dwarven Mine in multiple different locations. 55-70 ~ Mithril Ore Best found in the Al Kharid OR the Dwarven Mine. 70-85 ~ Adamantite Ore Best found, in bulk, at the Dwarven Mine near the Iron Ores. 85-99 ~ Runite Ore Best found in the Cursed Caverns (Mine). Map can be found here. Entirely depending on your game mode, this method can make you a ton of GP - even post-99. The real money here is in the Runite Ore from 85-99, which can sell for upwards of 10k GP each. Normal: ~580 Runite Ore, 5.8M GPHard: 9.75k Runite Ore, 9.75M GPSupreme: ~3.9k Runite Ore, 39M GPPrime: ~26k Runite Ore, 260M GP As you can see, the ideal way to make money with this skill is to mine on a Prime account or do a lot of post-99 Mining. 4.) Efficient Method The most efficient Mining method from 1-99 is as follows.. Spoiler PLEASE NOTE: If you are a donator, the ::dzone is much better for EVERY ORE (other than Granite)!!/ 1-15 ~ Copper/Tin Ore Best found at the Al Kharid Mine on the far Northern side. 15-30 ~ Iron Ore Best found at the Al Kharid Mine, just south of the Copper/Tin. 30-45 ~ Coal Ore Best found at the Dwarven Mine in multiple different locations. 45-99 ~ GraniteOnly found at the Desert Granite Mine. Granite mining from 45-99 has three methods, all of which are similar speeds. Convert the Granite into Runite Ore (using the Miner) Bank the Granite using the Premium Banker (Supreme, Prime or Donators) Drop each Granite immediately after mining it 5.) Other Useful Info Below is a list of all Ores and their respective exp given per mode: Spoiler / Copper Ore / Tin Ore ~ Mining Level: 1Normal: 2,363 expHard: 875 expSupreme: 350 expPrime: 52.5 exp Iron Ore ~ Mining Level: 15Normal: 1,181 expHard: 1,950 expSupreme: 700 expPrime: 105 exp Silver Ore ~ Mining Level: 20Normal: 5,400 expHard: 2,000 expSupreme: 800 expPrime: 120 exp Coal Ore ~ Mining Level: 30Normal: 6,750 expHard: 2,500 expSupreme: 1,000 expPrime: 150 exp Gold Ore ~ Mining Level: 40Normal: 8,775 expHard: 3,250 expSupreme: 1,300 expPrime: 195 exp Granite ~ Mining Level: 45Normal: 10,125 expHard: 3,750 expSupreme: 1,500 expPrime: 225 exp Mithril Ore ~ Mining Level: 55Normal: 10,800 expHard: 4,000 expSupreme: 1,600 expPrime: 240 exp Adamantite Ore ~ Mining Level: 70Normal: 12,825 expHard: 4,750 expSupreme: 1,900 expPrime: 285 exp Runite Ore ~ Mining Level: 85Normal: 16,875 expHard: 6,250 expSupreme: 2,500 expPrime: 375 exp SMITHING Smithing, used as a productive follow-up to Mining, is a rather fast skill to train - provided you have all of the ores/bars on hand. Smithing is used to craft both armor and weapons using the ores you have obtained via the Mining skill, as well as other miscellaneous things such as crafting Dragonfire Shields. 1.) Required & Useful Items Here on Runex, all you need to begin Smithing is a Hammer and some time. There are however several different experience bonus items on Runex to capitalize on: Spoiler Skiller Tokens Grants 2x Skilling experience per 10k exp earned Catalyst Tokens Grants 3x all experience per 5k exp earned Varrock Armor (1-4) Grants 5-20% (1-4) all experience gained Safety Gloves Grants 2.5% all experience gained Fighting Boots Grants 2.5% all experience gained Skilling Backpack Grants 5% all experience when worn Studious Elixir Grants 25% Skilling experience for 60 minutes Scholar's Blessing Doubles the cap of Experience Tokens (Skiller, Catalyst, Mythic) 2.) Smelting Ores to Bars The first step for Smelting Ores to Bars is obtaining said Ores, which I assume you have done via Mining or the Trading Post. Spoiler Second, you will need to find a furnace (East of the bank at ::home, ::dzone) and click on it. This interface should appear: Under the bars, you will find black and red text. This simply signifies whether or not you have the level(s) to craft said bar. Bronze: 1x Tin Ore, 1x Copper Ore Iron: 1x Iron Ore (50% chance) Steel: 1x Iron Ore, 2x Coal Ore Gold: 1x Gold Ore Mith: 1x Mithril Ore, 4x Coal Ore Addy: 1x Adamantite Ore, 6x Coal Ore Rune: 1x Runite Ore, 8x Coal Ore Each of the above "recipes" will grant you with one Bar of the same name (e.g. 1x Iron Ore, 2x Coal Ore = 1x Steel Bar). 3.) Armor/Weapon Smithing Armor and/or Weapon Smithing on Runex is quite easily accomplished as well. Spoiler Find yourself an Anvil (next to the Furnace at ::home and the ::dzone) and use your newly smelted Bar(s) on it. You should see an interface like this. Note, green text means you have the materials to smelt it - red means you do not. No matter what you smelt, you will get a multiple of the same experience. The experience rates below are the amount you gain PER BAR used (e.g. 1 dagger = 1x the exp listed, 1 scimitar = 2x the exp listed) Spoiler Bronze: Normal: 1,687.5 expHard: 625 expSupreme: 250 expPrime: 37.5 exp Iron: Normal: 3,375 expHard: 1,250 expSupreme: 500 expPrime: 75 exp Steel: Normal: 5,062.5 expHard: 1,875 expSupreme: 750 expPrime: 112.5 exp Mith: Normal: 6,750 expHard: 2,500 expSupreme: 1,000 expPrime: 150 exp Addy: Normal: 8,437.5 expHard: 3,125 expSupreme: 1,250 expPrime: 187.5 exp Rune: Normal: 10,125 expHard: 3,750 expSupreme: 1,500 expPrime: 225 exp Shout out to @Ralph for quick maths help ♥ 4.) Efficient Method The most efficient Smithing method from 1-99 is as follows.. Spoiler The most efficient methods of training Smithing almost always consist of Smithing the highest Platebody you can. The reason being, the more Bars you use per Smith, the more exp per hour you achieve. 1-18 ~ Any Bronze item(s) 18-33 ~ Bronze Platebodies 33-48 ~ Iron Platebodies 48-68 ~ Steel Platebodies 68-88 ~ Mithril Platebodies 88-99 ~ Adamant Platebodies Edited August 25, 2021 by 52xp

52xp 308 Posted August 19, 2021 (edited) Runecrafting is one of the slower skills here on Runex. While there are multiple methods from 1-99, only two of those methods stand out above the rest and are worth pursuing. We will highlight those methods and a lot more below - sit back and enjoy. :^) 1.) Required & Useful Items Fortunately, on Runex all you need to start Runecrafting is Rune Essence or Pure Essence. As well as this, via Frumscone at the ::abyss teleport, you can acquire Rune Pouches that hold extra Essence. There are also several different experience bonus items on Runex to capitalize on: Spoiler Skiller Tokens Grants 2x Skilling experience per 10k exp earned Catalyst Tokens Grants 3x all experience per 5k exp earned Varrock Armor (1-4) Grants 5-20% (1-4) all experience gained Safety Gloves Grants 2.5% all experience gained Fighting Boots Grants 2.5% all experience gained Skilling Backpack Grants 5% all experience when worn Studious Elixir Grants 25% Skilling experience for 60 minutes Scholar's Blessing Doubles the cap of Experience Tokens (Skiller, Catalyst, Mythic) 2.) Altars & Locations The entirety of your Runecrafting training will take place in three areas.. Spoiler The Abyss: The Astral Altar: The Cursed Caverns (Dark Altar): 3.) Efficient Methods While you could use many different methods for 1-99 Runecrafting, two stand out above the rest.. Spoiler Method one will rely on Nature Runes from 44-99 Runecrafting. Due to how close the Nature Altar is to the ::abyss teleport, this method is often preferred. 1-9 ~ Air Runes 9-14 ~ Earth Runes 14-27 ~ Fire Runes 27-35 ~ Cosmic Runes 35-44 ~ Chaos Runes 44-99 ~ Nature Runes (x2 at 91 Runecrafting) Method two will rely on Astral Runes from 40-99 Runecrafting. Due to how close the Astral Altar teleport is to the Altar itself, this method is often preferred. 1-9 ~ Air Runes 9-14 ~ Earth Runes 14-27 ~ Fire Runes 27-35 ~ Cosmic Runes 35-40 ~ Chaos Runes 40-99 ~ Astral Runes (x2 at 82 Runecrafting) 4.) 52xp 308 Posted August 19, 2021 (edited) On Runex, there are a (large) number of different ways to make GP. One of the most popular, undoubtedly, is Gambling. So how do you start gambling, or dueling, for GP on Runex? Well, it's actually quite simple.. The Duel Arena is a common place for combat-related gambling between players. You may get here by either typing ::duel or using the minigames teleport, found here: Upon challenging another player, you have three options - seen here: For standard, players agree upon rules determined between themselves. The other two options will have set rules that cannot be changed prior to the duel. As far as settings and staking in general, the rest is virtually identical to OSRS. The Gambling Room is the place to be for non-combat gambling among players. Everything here is automated and nearly scam-proof, just make sure to check screens before accepting! Before you're able to gamble here, you need a gambler scroll. You can find the gambler scroll either on the Tradepost or at ::shops, via the Donator Store. The Gambler Scroll can only be purchased from the Donator Store for 2,500 Donator Tickets. To get to the gambling room, type ::gamble or use the minigames teleport found here: When gambling, there are multiple different games you are able to play. When choosing a 55x2 game, the "Host" is who will roll the dice. In case you've forgotten (or never knew to begin with), here is how you play each game! 55x2 is, honestly, the simplest of any gambling game on Runex. The objective is to simply roll a 55 or higher on the dice, and you win x2 your bet. As you can see here, I have rolled a 3, meaning that I have lost the pot. BlackJack is similar to the real game, where the goal is to get to 21 with cards. On Runex, the goal is to get as close to 100 as possible and to try not to bust (go over 100). As the bettor (not the host), you will play first. You choose in the chat window whether to hit (roll again) or stay at your number. In the given example, 56, I would normally hit. Let's say I roll a 39 next - my total would now be 95. I would then stay! The objective of the host is to then roll higher than my 95, but they have to roll until they beat it or bust. In Dice Duels, both players roll a set of dice (1-100) up to five times. This game is a best-of-5 series where the highest rolled number wins each round. In Flower Poker, commonly referred to as FP, each player plants 5 flowers. Similarly to actual poker, the player with the best "hand", or plants in this case, wins. "OAK" simply means "of-a-kind", so a 3oak would be 3 of-a-kind" as seen above. A full house happens when a player plants 3 of-a-kind and 1 pair to go along with it.
