Marks of Grace/Graceful Set

This suggestion stems from the medium wanderer task for 6 elixirs of spright.

Currently they cost 500 marks of grace each - that's 72 laps of the highest level rooftop course unlocked at 90 agility. It takes a little over 37 seconds to do one lap while fully focusing on the lap and about 45-50 seconds if doing it more casually. That means it takes over 44 minutes to get enough marks for a single elixir while fully focused and about an hour if you are watching youtube on the side. Now multiply that by 6 times. That's well over 4 hours if permafocusing or around 6 hours if doing it casually. While whining about this in-game, someone asked if I have full graceful, as that would double the marks you receive (x7->x14) and you could then say ah 3hour grind isnt that bad, BUT it takes 1050 Marks of Grace to get the doubling effect and that's another 150 Ardougne laps on it's own, that would take somewhere between ~1,5hrs (focused) and ~2hrs (casual). So even if you grind out graceful first, that only shaves off the total time for all 6 elixirs by around an hour or so.

But if that doesn't rustle your jimmys, let's look at it from a completely different scenario: let's say I am a little casual Timmy on normal mode and I decided I will grind out 200m agility by running the rooftop. Besides the goal of 200Mxp I am looking forward on getting lots and lots of Marks of Grace and spending them, after the grind is over, to obtain some well-deserved, good rewards... UH OH. I just ran my first rooftop, got some Marks and when I opened the exchange interface, I got bitch-slapped by the incredibly unrewarding shop: Amylase crystals and Stamina potions are absolutely worthless as you can get more than a lifetime supply of them by just doing your average, everyday, regular PVM activities and there are far better methods of training herblore; XP lamps are well common from previously mentioned activities, opening some boxes and (I think) crystal keys, and they just aren't that good; Elixirs of Spright are sort-of decent for their +25% chance of skilling pet drops, but by the end of my turboaids 938 lap grind (while using skiller tokens for 2xXP(~213kXP per lap) I will only afford around 13 of them (24 with graceful); Graceful set is virtually useless as per the abundance of Stamina Pots and the fact that its 2x Mark effect is only active when all 6 pieces are equiped.
So basically little Timmy's long and gruesome grind nets him fuck-all.

So, a few of my suggestions would be:

  • Increase the base amount of Marks of Grace received per lap by at least double (or something like 1/3 chance to receive either the base amount, 2x the amount or 3x the amount).
  • Reduce the current prices of the items in the shop by at least half.
  • Change the Graceful Set pieces to include passive effect of ~15-20% chance of receiving 2x Marks of Grace PER piece worn and change the full set effect to grant 3x Marks of Grace
  • Include more economy based rewards i.e. GP, Plat Tokens, Caskets/Huge Caskets, all sorts of boxes, etc. The suggested, baseline value of the exchange would be at 1Bgp/500MoG (1 Mark of Grace = 2M gp). So the price of something like Huge Casket would be 500 Marks valued at 1B and you would not be guaranteed to receive that 1B as per nature of the Huge Casket.

While I do believe the last suggestion on my list to make it more rewarding overall is a must and maybe should be on a thread of its own, I am not suggesting to implement all of these - even a single one of them would make it nice, but I do believe you could mix&match a couple of them and make it so much better.

Constructive criticism of my topic, additional suggestions/changes or even summaries of own experiences with problems discussed in the topic are welcome and encouraged.
