Ryan 873 Posted June 6, 2019 Content Updates NEW "Boss Point" system Killing any boss in Runex will now grant you spendable Boss points This new feature will grant a brand new element of rewards to your end-game grinds on Runex! [!] Players who have joined before this update will login with points on their account based on their KCs, so your early grinds still count! Speak with the "Beast master" at home near the Librarian for more information Boss points can currently be spent on Boss point perk tree, and will also be spendable for future content! Unlocking boss perks will require you to unlock the perk preceding it There are simply too many perks to list here, check them out for yourself by speaking with the Beast master! One of the first unlockable perks is Superior boss slaying I & II which will unlock the new Superior slayer bosses! (See below) Superior bosses Once you unlock the Superior boss slaying I & II bosssing perks, your account will have a chance to encounter a superior boss! These bosses are stronger variants, and have greatly improved drop tables along with new and exclusive items! Upon release of this update, the following superior bosses are available: Colossal Cerberus This superior variant has a chance to drop the Cerberite Halberd, which hits 2x on enemies within 2 squares or larger Leviathan Kraken This superior variant has a chance to drop Oceanic scales, which can be crafted with a needle and thread into Oceanic robes Philosophous Hydra This superior variant has a chance to drop Superior hydra leather which can be attached to lava d'hide to upgrade into Hydra leather gear Abyssal darksire This superior variant has a chance to drop an improved Abyssal darksire dagger & bludgeon The abyssal darksire dagger has a 1/4 chance to hit twice in combat, and the 2nd hit deals 25% damage in PvP Nitronuclear smoke devil This superior variant has a chance to drop a Smoke cloak. This cloak provides infinite air & fire runes, and heals from 20% of damage dealt with air & fire spells. There are more superior bosses to come in future updates, so stay tuned! Rooftop agility courses Rooftop agility is finally here! You can now access these courses via Agility teleports on the training teleport interface. Courses will grant you marks of grace upon completion, with the quantity being based on its difficulty As an additional benefit, each course grants a very rare chance to earn a unique Giant squirrel pet! Draynor: Purple giant squirrel pet Al kharid: Yellow giant squirrel pet Varrock: White giant squirrel pet Canafis: Red giant squirrel pet Falador: Orange giant squirrel pet Seers: Cyan giant squirrel pet Pollnivneach: Sand giant squirrel pet Rellekka: Snow giant squirrel pet Ardougne: Black giant squirrel pet Gameplay changes and QoLs: Enhanced zoom and distance Under your settings tab, you can now toggle on "Extended zoom & distance" and zoom out far more than before! We recommend you keep this disabled (or enter Lite Mode) if you experience FPS issues We have also increased the speed of zooming in and out with your mouse wheel! You can also hold CTRL while scrolling your mouse wheel to zoom in/out even faster! Notification system Under your settings tab, you can now toggle on "Desktop notifications" and get notifications while Runex is minimized! Notifications will pop up on your task bar if you receive PMs, or sell some items in the trading post! Game chat filter You can now toggle your game channel to "Filtered" which will remove any fluff text from your chat box Things such as news announcements and important alerts & messages will still appear under this setting Client launcher We've added a brand new client launcher available for download at https://runex.io/assets/Runex.jar This launcher should hopefully result in less client issues, but also has a built-in repair tool just in case! Player lighting You can now toggle "Player lighting" off, which will make characters have more of an "OSRS" look to them Private chat You can now right-click your private chat channel button and select "Clear history" to clear your private messages Bug fixes: Raids You can now attack Maiden (ToB) from proper melee distance, around the perimeter of the platform Removed AFK guard for combat-related activity during raids (you can still receive an AFK guard when skilling, etc!) Other / Misc Fixed prayer renewal potion inventory models Fixed chaotic staff (i)'s bonuses Fixed issues with kharazi chinchompa blast skilling Fixed an issue with wyverns and task scrolls Fixed an issue with raw bass fishing skilling tasks requiring tuna Fixed dragon hasta and dragonhunter lance against Corporeal beast Added resource tokens to the currency pouch Looking ahead: Some things to look forward to on the next update: Summer event 2019!
