[April 11th, 2019] Easter event expansion + Patch notes

Note from the developers:
Large content updates are currently in the works for the remainder of this month!
As promised we're bringing out an Easter event expansion while you all stay tuned, as well as some quick patches!

Update list:

  • Easter event expansion
    • The event is far from over! We've added even more content & activities to this event that we hope you all enjoy!
    • New demi-boss: Big chungus
      • Big chungus will be spawning at a random F2P city every 30-60 minutes, with a horde of chocowyrms surrounding him!
      • He can only be damaged once his wyrm minions are defeated
        • He will throw explosive bunnies at all players within his vicinity, so be sure to move out of the way before they hit you!
      • All players can attack wyrms (and big chungus) even though some areas are single-zone combat
        • Iron men will receive their wyrm drops if they do majority damage, just like other players
      • Much like the Easterwyrm, all players who participate in defeating Big chungus will receive a drop!
    • New wilderness activity: Ghostly chocowyrms
      • Ghosts of slain chocowyrms are now roaming all over the wilderness!
      • You can exterminate them for bonus rewards, along with some minor blood money drops!
      • Ghostly chocowyrms are indicated on your minimap with an "easter egg" icon for easier tracking
    • Egg weapon charges
      • All imbued easter weapons have a new special attack: Overdrive
        • Costs 1x egg weapon charge and 25% special attack energy
        • When activated, your imbued egg weapon will attack over 2X faster for 30 seconds!
      • Egg weapon charges are now stackable
    • New easter items
      • Easter hand cannon
        • New rare reward, cosmetic variant of the hand cannon
        • Attack speed is also 1 tick faster than the hand cannon
      • Bag of explosive eggs
        • When equipped you can hurl explosive eggs at your fellow players! (cosmetic)
      • Ghostly chocowyrm pet
        • Get one of these festive creatures to follow you around in-game!
      • All of the above items have been added to the toy chest (PoH)
        • We've also went ahead and added easter weapons (both imbued and non-imbued) to the toy chest!
    • Future plans for holiday events
  • Bank boosts
    • Raised the cap from 8 boosts to 10
    • This will allow for a new max bank capacity of 1,000 (as opposed to 900) slots
  • Dark totems
    • Dark totem piece drop rates have been improved (Kourend dungeon)

Patch notes:

  • Fixed right-clicking issues
    • We've went ahead and made some adjustments that should fix right-click issues that a minority of players have been experiencing
  • Removed the level requirements for imbued easter weapons
  • Egg-blaster is now a two-handed weapon
  • Fixed Dragon hasta special attack
  • Fixed Dark sunspear death protection value
  • Fixed Darkroot death protection value
  • Fixed Darkroot helm tradeability
  • Fixed rune coin exchange for various epic pets (previously only accepted "legendary" versions)
  • Fixed an issue allowing you to no-clip from the Zulrah map (if spam-clicked the minimap during the teleportation)
  • Fixed an issue with dragging/moving placeholders in your bank
  • Fixed a graphical bug with Guthan's chainskirt on female characters
  • Fixed a graphical bug with Vesta's plateskirt (deg) on female characters
  • Made some minor graphical adjustments to objects and NPCs at home (new textures and tooltip icons)

In regards to the future events, it would be great if the "cycled events" were different each time (at least partially). Personally, it would be more boring for me doing the exact same cycles as I did during christmas and summer for so much time.

so weapon charges are still useless

It's Over 2x more dps, meaning over 2x more tokens for the time period.

I wish there was a better use, but It's something.

Solid update. I think the special attack requiring 1 egg scroll is a little much. Some people go nearly 60 dry however. Thats like 1 spec every 2 hours.

dont get me wrong, im glad that hordes and wildy wyrms are added, but a "massive expansion" was a lie lmao

was hoping for more use with the scrolls but something is better than nothing I guess

Ye I was hoping for a better upgrade aswell, 50% would be more reasonable per scroll. But overall great patches.

@Ryan What's the point in adding new content to a limited-time event when they are broken on-release and still not fixed 2 weeks later when the event is basically over? 95% of the wyrms in the wild have spawned inside of objects, making them unattackable, and if you kill the few that are attackable, they usually spawn inside objects and become unattackable as well. It's unbelievable that you haven't fixed this yet.

He plans to fix this issue on May 1st.
