Please note, your forum info will be your in-game info (user/pass). Changing this info in-game does not change it on the forums (or vice versa). You cannot use special characters (!@#$%^&*) in your name or pass. After you've created your account, you must download the Runex client by clicking here. For any client or login related issues, please check out this thread. Choosing your game mode Upon logging in, you will be prompted to choose between four primary game modes.. After choosing your preferred experience rate, you will be given another option.. Basics of Runex Like most RSPS nowadays, teleporting is done via the magic tab(left) seen below. Here you will find teleports for nearly every area of Runex you may need. In the achievement tab(right), you will find all of your account information. This includes your KDR and ELO rating, not shown in the picture. In the achievement tab, you can also check out the Drop Tables and your Achievements. North-west of Edgeville's bank, you will find all of our shopkeepers. Finally, just North of Edgeville's bank, you will find a couple more unique Runex shops and features. Rune Coin Exchange One of these features is the Rune Coin Exchange seen above. Using this machine, you can convert hundreds of different items to Rune Coins. In order to exchange items for Rune Coins, simply click the machine and select "Exchange items for rune coins" After doing so, you will be able to add any items in the list above ("Rune coin exchange price guide") to exchange. Please note: A specific item can only be exchanged once per 24 hours (e.g. 1 AGS) However, you can exchange an unlimited amount of said item(s) at once - once per 24 hours (e.g. 6 AGS) There are a ton of different, useful rewards from Rune Coins on Runex. Both Elemental and Catalytic Wands and Pouches as well as custom Cosmetics, to name a few. Custom Items Runex also offers a decent amount of custom items, both gear and cosmetic. I have created a separate, detailed guide to these items in a separate post - click here.
Ralph 208 Posted February 12, 2018 (edited) Money Making Activities The money making daily activities are a great way to make some starter cash. If you complete all of the activities every day you can make at least 55m a day. Also, selling the other items you receive will only increase that amount. Most of the activities are self explanatory, while others need a bit more information. Rotating dailies explanation The first 8 money making dailies will always be the same day to day. 52xp 308 Posted February 14, 2018 Low-Tier Money-Making Lower levels on Runex have several methods for those of you looking for money, especially if you enjoy a grind. Even better, the majority of these lower level methods will not only give you decent money, but decent experience as well. A couple of these guides will aim more towards experience gain while also profiting however, majority will aim solely for profit. V o t i n gRequires: Absolutely nothing You can begin the voting process by clicking here or typing ::vote in-game. After voting on each page (total of 3), you can type ::claim in-game to receive 1-3 vote tickets. At the time of writing this, vote tickets are going for about 6m gp each, netting you a free 36m per day. Should you choose to keep your tickets, you can spend them simply by clicking on them. Here, you can purchase various different items using your vote tickets. On top of these 7 rewards, you can get two cosmetic hats - the "Pimp" and "Mac Daddy" hats shown above. T h i e v i n gRequires: 30+ As soon as you hit 30 Thieving, you should use the blood money chest located here: This chest will grant you 1 blood money per thieve (about 2 thieves per second). Blood money on Runex is worth anywhere from 13-17k gp each. Using this method, you're looking at about 90m gp/h and:Prime: ~500k exp/hSupreme: ~3.2m exp/hHard: ~8.5m exp/hNormal: ~22m exp/h C o o k i n gRequires: 80 (89+ recommended) 76+ (cheaper) This method does have a decently high cooking level requirement, but it's worth it. Raw Sharks can either be bought for 1-3k gp or obtained with 76 Fishing for free. After you have a substantial amount, you can cook them and sell them for 2-3k profit per Shark. Sharks are rarely on the trading post, but if you have some patience there is plenty of room for profit. Using this method, you're only looking at about 3-5m gp/h but:Prime: ~700k exp/hSupreme: ~5m exp/hHard: ~12m exp/hNormal: ~34m exp/h W o o d c u t t i n gRequires: 50+ Woodcutting is another great way to make money for lower levels. In this instance, we will be cutting some Mahogany Trees, located here: For this, you will need a bit of cash - ideally above 10m - but it can be done with only 280k to start. Once you have a decent amount of Mahogany Logs banked, head to the Sawmill Operator at home, here: Right click him and select the "Buy-plank" option - you will be making Mahogany Planks for 10k each. Should you choose not to take this route (assuming you don't have the starting cash).. Mahogany logs sell for a solid 10-15k each on the trading post located at home, however: The planks will sell for more than double that price - making this more worthwhile. Using this method, you're looking at about 130m gp/h and (at 50wc):Prime: ~200k exp/hSupreme: ~1.3m exp/hHard: ~3.3m exp/hNormal: ~7m exp/h H u n t e rRequires: 1* / 63+Using a Falconer's Glove, this can be done at Level 1. Many of you will recognize this method just because of the skill we're doing - it's Red Chinchompas. Once you're here, the rest is pretty self explanatory. We're going to be catching red chins as fast as we can for maximum profit & exp. With the Falconer's Glove, you can catch an estimated 900 red chins per hour. Currently, Red Chinchompas are actively traded for about 30-35k gp each. Using this method, you're looking at about 30m gp/h and:Prime: ~710k exp/hSupreme: ~4.6m exp/hHard: ~11.6m exp/hNormal: ~24.5m exp/h
Ralph 208 Posted February 14, 2018 Mid-Tier Money-Making Players in this mid-tier category should have at least dipped their toes in the waters of combat by now. This will allow you to experience much more of Runex as a whole, whether that be slayer, bossing or further skilling. Here, we will mostly look at some combat related money-making methods.. but we may throw a skill or two in as well. B a r r o w sRequires: 50+ 43+ Barrows is a great place to start making money using combat. Crystal key parts are very common from the chest, not to mention the possibility of getting a good item from the chest. The Barrows minigame can be accessed through the minigame teleports. Don't forget to bring your spade! Recommended Gear (lowest requirements)For fast barrows runs, magic is the clear winner between the combat styles. Armor: Mystic armor Weapon: Iban's staff/(i), using the Iban's blast spell Off-hand: Book of Darkness (costs 10 achievement points at the achievement shop), or tome of fire/(i) Using this method, you're looking at about 60m gp/h (excluding rare drops). M a s s M o l eRequires: 60+ While Mole's rare drops are very rare, his common drops are what you will be looking towards to make money here. Claws/skins are currently going for about 600k each. Averaging 1 per kill is very good, especially because the requirements are very low. Giant Mole is best if killing in a mass team. Kills with many people can take as low as 5 seconds! Boss MechanicsThe giant mole is a very straight forward boss. When fighting it in a team, use protection from range unless he comes up to attack you, in that case protect from melee. One of the Mole's mechanics that makes him so good for mass teams is the fact that he drops items for everyone who helped with the kill. So even if you don't have the best gear, you can still get decent money per hour. Recommended GearIf killing mole in a large team, bring whatever will give you the most damage per second. Soloing mole will result in less money per hour, however if being done this way, mage is the best option. To solo, I suggest freezing the mole and running away to hit it from a distance.Using this method, you're looking at about 75m gp/h (excluding rare drops).
