With all of the currencies that Runex has to offer I decided to make this basic currencies guide of the different tokens and currencies you will mostly come across on the server. I will be excluding seasonal tokens, warriors guild tokens, majestic tokens and things that are common sense or late game. This guide is INTENDED to help new players understand our basic currencies with the intention that once they understand these then when they move into late game content they will understand the server more. I'd like to give a big thanks to @52xp for helping me with this and a big thanks to @Espen for the Wandering Merchants item list. Here on Runex we have our very own boss point system. It's a very simple system, when you kill a boss you get boss points. Different bosses yield more points than others. so make sure you check with the Beast Master at home who is right outside Edgeville bank. You can also obtain boss points pretty rarely from point mystery boxes, chests and epic bonus chests. Epic bonus Chest Point Mystery Chest Point Mystery Box Next up is Skilling points. You can check out our skilling master right next to the slayer master. He gives you a wide range of skilling tasks you can complete for skilling points. Speaking of skilling points. you can spend them at his shop for juicy rewards such as dyes for your graceful gear, bags of tokens that you can open to get xp boosting tokens or even luck tokens that give you a second drop chance per monster kill. Check his shop out for yourself. Next up is Slayer points. One of the most popular methods of training combat stats on any server is slayer and Runex has a multitude of slayer options available. Whether you'd like to do brimstone tasks for brimstone keys, boss tasks for slayer xp and boss points or just casual slayer we've got you covered. Just speak to the slayer master right outside of the home bank to get started. We also have a multitude of rewards you can earn from doing slayer such as a Chaotic mystery box which gives you a random chaotic weapon, gloves and boots that boost your damage against slayer targets, Slayer urns which can give you a chance at more loot and the Fused Slayer Helmet which is created by combining our magic, melee, range, prayer and regular slayer helmets + 1,000 slayer points. (With further upgrades for melee, range and magic via the runecoin shop) These are just a few things you can earn from training slayer on Runex. Go ahead and explore the shop for yourself! Next up is Runex Points. You can earn Runex points by killing monsters above level 100, bosses, task bottles and opening point mystery boxes and chests. You can spend these points in a variety of different ways. One of them by speaking to Mandrith at the ::shops teleport. Another place you can spend Runex points is to imbue specific items. You can do this at the ::rc teleport via our Imbue Wizard. At this shop you can imbue your rings, magic shortbows, zamorakian spears, tome of fires and more! The next thing we're going to cover is Rune coins. Rune coins are one of the main currencies aside from cash that you'll acquire along your journey. You can earn Rune coins by trading items at our Rune coin exchanger. Nearly every item in the game can be exchanged for rune coins. You can get to the exchanger by typing ::rc Once you're there, click the machine pictured below and you'll have 3 options. You can check out the price guide to see what items have specific Rune coins values, you can view the rune coin shop itself and you can exchange your items. At the Rune coin shop you can purchase a bunch of different upgrades for your account such as a melee, range or magic slayer helm, a currency pouch that holds a multitude of currencies, Rune pouches that give infinite runes (elemental or catalytic) and much more! Please note: If you need more information about rune coins type ::help in-game and read through the rune coin exchange tab. Next, we're going to talk about Blood money. Blood money can be earned by killing npc's and bosses in the wilderness, the cursed caverns, bags of riches, sacks of riches, PvP and more. To get started with spending your blood money there are 2 shops you can go to. The first being right outside home bank with the Wilderness Trader. Here you can buy Blood Orbs which give you a % bonus of blood money from PvP kills & wilderness bosses and also a small drop rate boost. For the skillers there's also a skiller orb that provides 15% more XP and a 10% chance for double loot/resources while skilling. You can also check out his main shop. If you're feeling risky you can also check out Larry in the Cursed Caverns. He sells some of the same items that the wilderness trader sells but for a discounted rate. The difference here is that the cursed caverns are a PvP area and is very dangerous because pkers frequent here. Next up is Wanderer's tokens. Wanderer's Tokens can be obtained by turning in and essentially "sinking" the many random items and gear you come across during your gameplay. To do this you'll speak to the Wandering merchant. The Wandering Merchant, found outside the shops at home, is a weekly activity that requires you to sacrifice items in exchange for Wanderer Tokens. Some of the most powerful equipment in-game can be found within his store, but not without a cost. • Easy tasks have 3 steps and will provide you with 100 tokens upon completion• Medium tasks have 3 steps and will provide you with 250 tokens upon completion• Hard tasks have 3 steps and will provide you with 500 tokens upon completion• Elite tasks have 1 step and will provide you with 1000 tokens upon completion In addition, you may also exchange tradeable Mystery Tickets for Wanderer Tokens. He will give 75 tokens per ticket, including a bonus amount for each of the first 5 you exchange with him. The Wandering Merchant shop has a limited amount of stock and resets every Monday Down below are the items Wanderer can ask for and their respective tiers. Scythe of Vitur Cerberite Halberd Twisted Bow Twisted Pendant Kodai Necklace Dark Sunspear Nightmare Staff Sanguinesti Staff (i) Grand Boots (i) Grand Gloves (i) Grand Ring (i) Fused Serpentine Helmet Imbuing Crystal Master Luck Accessory Hydra Leather Body Hydra Leather Chaps Oceanic Top Oceanic Robelegs Crestbearer Platebody Crestbearer Platelegs Inquisitor Hauberk Inquisitor Legguards Inquisitor Mace Riftwalker's Sword Tokkul Tokkul is a currency that can be obtained from completing the Fight Caves minigame and killing Jad. You can also obtain Tokkul from Bags of Riches and Sacks of Riches Tokkul can be used to enter the Inferno minigame and can also be used to obtain Rune coins by exchanging Tokkul for obsidian gear. The best Tokkul to Rune coin ratio is Berserker Necklaces. Rune Diamonds Rune Diamonds are a very rare fusion of currencies made up of x100 Rune Coins and x1 Mystery shard per diamond. Rune Diamonds are used to purchase cosmetic upgrades to your account including custom yell colors, various overrides, and the lucky fairy mini-pet that provides +5% drop rate. Ancient Shards Ancient Shards are used for a lot of things on Runex from enchantments to creating Arclight, creating God rings and obtaining access to our end game dungeon the Sacred Dungeon. You can obtain Ancient Shards by killing Ancient Titans in the Max guild basement or by killing the Skotizo boss Intrinsic Shards Intrinsic Shards are obtained by killing the Corpethereal Beast World Boss. To fight the boss you need to have 75 achievements completed. Once you have obtained 500 Intrinsic Shards you can use them to upgrade an existing spirit shield to it's intrinsic version. Ecumenical Shards Ecumenical Shards are obtained in non-instanced Elite-God Wars dungeon from killing general trash mobs to killing the boss of a specific god. (Zamorak, Armadyl, Saradomin, Bandos) Ecumenical Shards are used to spawn Elite God Wars Bosses in POH Boss instances. Divine Shards Divine Shards are a special currency that can be used to enchant items in the Enchantment Chest outside of ::rc. You can obtain these shards by purchasing them from the Beast Master NPC in the center of home for 50 boss points per 1 shard. Alternatively, you can obtain these shards from killing Challenge Mode Chasmquaker and Night Terror. (End-game) Mystery Shards Mystery Shards are a currency that can be used to purchase various point boxes, donator tickets, rune coins and enchantment dusts used to potentially save items from failed enchants at our enchantment chest. You can obtain Mystery Shards by opening different boxes and packs. This includes Donator mystery boxes & chests, Mystery tickets and Promo packages. The more valuable the box/chest/pack is, the more shards you receive from opening it. Cursed Shards Cursed Shards are obtained from doing various activities in our wilderness slayer/skilling zone called the Cursed Caverns. You can obtain these from doing content in the caverns such as slayer, burying bones and more. Cursed Shards are used to purchase wilderness related objects and gear. Trading Sticks Trading Sticks are a currency that are obtained in the Kharazi Minigame. These sticks are used to purchase Karumja Gloves which increase spear type weapons accuracy and damage and useful abilities such as blast mining and blast woodcutting. They can also be used to purchase various upgrades through NPC's in the minigame. Magic Tokens Magic Tokens are a currency that can be obtained while killing Battle Mages at the Mage Arena in the Wilderness. They can be spent at the NPC Kolodion at the Mage Arena teleport or at the ::rc teleport. Here is the Magic Token shop Combat Tokens Combat Tokens are special experience boosting tokens that provide 2x experience to combat skills while in your inventory. Every 10,000 experience you gain, one token will be used. This can be doubled to 20,000 experience using a Scholar's Blessing, found within the Rune Coin Exchanger. You can obtain these tokens from Bags of Tokens and Sacks of Tokens Skiller Tokens Skiller Tokens are special experience boosting tokens that provide 2x experience to non-combat skills while in your inventory. Every 10,000 experience you gain, one token will be used. This can be doubled to 20,000 experience using a Scholar's Blessing, found within the Rune Coin Exchanger. Luck tokens can be obtained from doing various daily moneymaking activities and can also be obtained from Bags of Tokens and Sacks of Tokens Epic Luck Tokens Epic Luck Tokens are a special token that provides 3x rolls on the drop table of each monster you kill. each kill uses 1 token. Epic Luck tokens can be obtained from doing various daily moneymaking activities and can also be obtained from Bags of Tokens and Sacks of Tokens Chaos Luck Tokens Chaos Luck Tokens are a special token that provides 2-4x rolls on the drop table of each monster you kill. each kill uses 1 token. Chaos Luck Tokens can be obtained from Exotic Mystery Boxes that are purchased from the Wandering Merchant or they can be enchanted at the Enchantment Chest at home for 50 Divine Shards and 25 Luck tokens at a 100% chance. Vote Tickets Vote tickets are obtained by voting for the server every 12 hours. You need 20 achievements to claim your votes. You can spend Vote Tickets on various things such as Luck tokens, Epic luck tokens prize boxes, chests etc. To view the vote shop you need to click your vote tickets. Donator Tickets Donator Tickets are obtained by redeeming Bonds in-game. Donator tickets can be spent at the donator shop at various donator zones and ::shops at the home area.
