Seto 1 Posted September 21, 2019 RuneX Ironman: From Zero to Hero WARNING: This guide will be focused on combat & getting end-game gear. If you need help with skilling, please check the guide index to find the appropriate guide. BASIC INFO Spoiler There are 3 different ironman modes on RuneX: Standart Ironman Hardcore Ironman (only has one life) Ultimate Ironman (can't use banks) This guide will be focused on the standart ironman mode. CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT Spoiler Upon logging in for the first time, you'll be asked to choose your character's appearance And after that you'll be asked to select your game mode. Feel free to select any experience mode you like, but make sure to select the appropriate ironman mode. After you click "Create Account" you'll be forced to follow a quick tutorial, and then you're ready to play! GEARING UP Spoiler In this section of the guide i'll list important gear upgrades in no particular order. Chaotic Rapier or Longsword Getting a chaotic weapon early on is a great idea. There is several ways you could go about obtaining one: - Money Monson II achievement (complete 7 ankou dailies): gives you a free chaotic box - Task Master III achievement (kill 2000 slayer targets): gives you a free chaotic box - 1000 donator tickets (can get the chaotic of your choice) - 125k RuneX points (can get the chaotic of your choice) [NOT RECOMMENDED] - 500 Slayer points (for a random chaotic weapon) [NOT RECOMMENDED] Tome of fire (i) You can get a regular tome of fire from essence implings and then enchant it at the imbue wizard. The tome of fire (i) will boost fire spells damage by 75%. It's great for barrows. Dragon defender (t) This can be achieved in the warriors guild minigame. Fused Slayer Helmet This should be one of the first grinds of your account. It costs a total of 5100 slayer points to get a fused slayer helmet. Pro-tips: - Do 100 easy tasks before doing hard/brimstone tasks to get your streak up (100+ streak = double points) - Do not cancel your task. This will reset your streak. - If you get a bad task, permanently block it. This WILL reset your streak. Master wand & Infinity boots & book of infinity Those can be aquired through the mage arena I minigame. If you complete the "Ace of the Arena" achievement, you'll most likely have enough magic tokens to buy all 3 items. Imbued god cape This cape has twice the magic bonus of the regular god cape and only takes 5 minutes to get. Be aware you need to complete the "Ace of the Arena" achievement before doing the mage arena II minigame. Karils & Ahrims & Amulet of the damned It's definitely worth to spend some time at barrows to get karils (full), ahrims (top/bottom) and the amulet of the damned. The amulet of the damned can also be obtained from the black chest (fyir shades chest). Karils + aotd is a great set-up to do zulrah. Ring of wealth (i) You can imbue a regular ring of wealth for 150k runex points. Row (i) will provide you with 7.5% drop rate bonus. Kharazi spear (e) + karamja gloves 3 This is an excellent melee set-up that can be easily achieved through the kharazi minigame. The karamja gloves 3 costs 2500 trading sticks. You get a free kharazi spear for completing 5 jungle demons dailies. The spear can also be dropped by monsters inside the kharazi minigame. Torso (e) You can attempt to make a torso (e) at the enchantment chest. It costs a torso (i) + 1000 warrior guild token + 750 runecoins for each attempt. You have 33% chance of succeding (be prepared to fail a few times) Catalytic rune pouch This will provide you with infinite blood barrage runes. You can purchase one for 15,000 runecoins (with the 25% ironman discount) Frost/Lava slayer helmet You can upgrade your fused slayer helmet using 15,000 runecoins. The frost slayer helmet is for magic, and the lava slayer helmet is for ranged. Lava pendant This item will allow you to do chambers of xerics as many times per day as you want. You can get it from lava demons at a 1 in 833 drop rate. You can also get it from the lava chest. Elite void This is more of a late game thing, but is definitely worth getting if you can spare the runecoins/runex points. You can upgrade your regular void at the enchantment chest with a 33% chance of success. It costs 5k runecoins every attempt. Infernal cape Inferno only has 5 waves on this server and it's not that hard. Get your infernal cape as soon as possible. Dragon warhammer You can get this from lizardman shamans at a 1 in 1000 drop rate. This item is pretty much necessary for efficient raids. Devout boots This boots increases soulsplit effect by 15%. It's best in slot for raids. LATE GAME Spoiler At this point you're probably balling, but there is still a long way to go. Here are a few items that you should be looking for in your late-game: Sunspear This is a significant upgrade from your kharazi spear (e). You can get one from the jungle demon or from kharazi implings. Dark horn The dark horn is dropped by skotizo and is used to turn sunspear into dark sunspear. As of writting this guide, there are very few dark sunspears in the game. Full ancestral This can be obtained in the chambers of xerics, either from a vasa drop or from the final chest. This is almost bis mage gear. Twisted bow The rarest item from chambers of xerics. Good luck getting this. Draconic platelegs The draconic platebody and helmet are not that good, but the legs is a great item to have. Obtainable from the final chest at chambers of xerics. Kodai wand Also obtained from the chambers of xerics Warria/arcan/archon boots & gloves Those can be obtained from grand crests. Grand boots & Grand gloves After you get all 3 boots/gloves from the grand crests, you can use an ancient relic (obtained from chambers of xerics) to upgrade it. Full crestbearer Also obtained from grand crests, this is currently the bis melee gear. Each piece boosts damage by 7.5% on pvm. Scythe of vitur Obtained from theatre of blood. BIS melee weapon Grand ring (i) You can upgrade a regular grand ring (obtained from crests) at the enchantment chest to get the bis ring. Ferocious gloves Obtained from alchemical hydra Dragon-hunter lance Obtained from alchemical hydra This guide is a constant work-in-progress.
