    Dear Runex Staff Team,

    I am writing to apply for the position of Game Administrator. I mean, who wouldn't want to spend their free time moderating a bunch of online gamers who think they're invincible and have no respect for rules or authority? Also, I feel as if I should skip the other ranks because I have 12" forearms which I use to intimidate my subordinates.

    I have a great deal of experience dealing with children, both in real life and in virtual worlds. I have learned the art of patience and have developed a love for explaining things over and over again to those who don't want to listen. I am also quite skilled in rolling my eyes and sighing heavily, which comes in handy when dealing with gamers who think they know everything.

    In terms of my qualifications, I am an expert in using the ban hammer and have a vast collection of witty ban messages that will leave rule-breakers crying themselves to sleep at night. I am also quite familiar with the many colourful insults that online gamers like to use, and I am not afraid to use them back when necessary.

    In addition to my moderation skills, I have a great sense of humour and am always ready with a snarky remark or sarcastic comment to put rule-breakers in their place. On top of that, I love being balls-deep in mundane work and being fucked in every orifice by my superiors. 

    So if you're looking for someone who cannot handle the stress and frustration of moderating an online game community, look no further. I am your person. Thank you for considering my application.

    Dear Runex,

    Disclaimer: This is not a notice of resignation.

    Where the hell is Kong?

    Most of you have noticed a dramatic decline in my activity since November, this is because I’ve taken on a very heavy work load. I’m currently teaching 10-12 hours per day / 7 days a week at multiple different schools.

    Why am I working so hard?

    The reason I’m working this much is due to the fact my wedding is on the 17th March (Vietnamese weddings ARE NOT CHEAP!)

    So, the combination of work and wedding planning has left me with little energy and time to be able to play Runex. Last night, I signed a contract for my new apartment so, on top of everything, I will also have to dedicate time to moving. 

    Will Kong increase his activity?

    Yes, my activity will increase and resume normality once I’m married and settled down.

    Fake giveaways have been in the rules since the creation of Runex. You are not a new member, so you’re most likely familiar with this rule.

    I have seen the screenshots and you did continue it, not only did you continue, you threw in some disrespect towards Castle.

    Your punishment was well within reason.

    Nonetheless, it’s sad to see you go and wish you the best in life. Take care and good luck.

    The only reason I will not support this application for now is because, I would have to say that you are not yet a prominent member in the community (not enough to be staff that is). I have only seen you around a handful of times (this may be due to time zones, however I play during central peak times quite often and still rarely see your name). I think the reason being is that you’re not active in yell or in the help cc. 

    If you improve on your activity in the help cc and in yell, I would potentially support you due to your professional application.

    Ok, so I’ve spoken to Ryan. The outcome was that, when a staff member turns his private off, he will be removed from the ::staff list.

    I hope this helps to avoid any future confusion of staff being afk or not.

    80% afking time is with friends off and ::hide

    This takes me completely off grid (including the ::staff list) and avoids confusion. 

    However, if staff want to afk bosses, that’s fine. We just need to come up with a solution to take them off the ::staff list, seeing as you can’t engage in combat when in ::hide.

    I’ll suggest a ::afk command to Ryan, which takes us off the list.

    Here’s my take on Nex:

    Nex is a really fun boss with awesome mechanics, would I like to see it implemented? Yes.

    Would I like the armours to be implemented? No. I think that Runex currently has a wide variety of armour sets at the moment, we don’t need more.

    What I would like to see is more ornament kits, dyes, shields and blessings etc..

    Now, I would like to suggest that Nex is made virtually impossible to solo, why? Because we currently have no bosses that require teamwork. We have raids, can they be solo’d? Yes.

    Implementing more bosses that require precision teamwork would add a whole new factor of fun to Runex.
