    In-depth Construction Guide

Starting Off To start off, you need to purchase a house which can be done south of ::home by talking to the Estate Agent. After purchasing a house, a butler can be hired for easy banking purposes. Gathering supplies To get started with construction you will need: A hammer, a saw, and nails. All of this can be purchased from the skilling/house store. The next thing you will need to buy is planks. Starting off you will need regular planks which can be bought from the trading post, or made by using the sawmill operator/lunar plank make. Leveling 1-33 Leveling up construction is very easy, all you need to do is make furniture and destroy it repetitively. From levels 1-33 you will be making chairs in the parlor. Building a room is simple, just walk up to a door hotspot and right click and select "Build Door hotspot" Leveling 33-52 From levels 33-52 you will be building oak larders in the kitchen. Leveling 52-99 From 52-99 you will be building mahogany tables in the dinning room. House Locations There are a couple things to do to upgrade your house. First of all, changing the location of your house. This can be done by talking to the Estate agent outside of the home portal. Note: Purchasing locations is a one time expense. It will not cost more money to move your house back to a location which you have already purchased. Notable rooms and "maxing" your house To "max out" your house, there are a few important rooms you will need. Those being, a study for a lectern, a chapel for an altar, a superior garden for an elixir pool, and a boss portal room for instanced bossing. Study Chapel Room Superior Garden Boss Portal Room

    In-depth Chambers of Xeric Guide

The Chambers of Xeric General information Chambers of Xeric (Raids 1) is a type of boss gauntlet where you run through and kill 3 demi-bosses before squaring up to the Great Olm. Most of the rewards are best in slot armor or weapons, making Raids very profitable if you manage to get those items. The rare drop table is as follows When you first begin to raid, you will start out on "Normal" difficulty. As you do more raids more difficulties will become available, as they are unlocked with your raids count. The higher the difficulty the higher of a chance to get rare loots from the chest at the end of the raid. Setting up a raid To start raiding, speak to the Librarian (raids) at ::home Once you open up the raiding interface by talking to the Librarian, select your difficulty, invite other players if you aren't soloing, and start the raid! Gear and Inventory Setup Personally when I raid I use this setup: I know this gear is close to best in slot and it's hard to decide what to bring just seeing this. So allow me to break down the gear a little bit. Gear setup There are two approaches to what gear to bring to raids. One option is to bring tribrid gear, and another is to bring just mage and melee. Mage is almost a requirement, as you will need multi-combat spells such as blood barrage. If you have decent enough ranged gear, you might want to try the tribrid approach. I only recommend going mage/melee if you don't have good range gear. I will try my best to include the majority of decent gear setups, but of course I will not be able to list every single item. Gear to "camp" Since raids is a difficult boss gauntlet, you can't just bring all gear and no supplies. Personally, instead of bringing along an amulet switch, I just keep the Lava pendant on throughout the raid. A Lava pendant has decent tribrid stats, so in my opinion, you don't need to bring along another amulet for other styles. Another good item to bring along (especially if you're using a Kharazi spear (e) on Tekton) is Karamja gloves 3. They provide decent tribrid stats as well as the boost to spear damage. If you have access to it, a Max cape (or it's variants) is great to bring along. It provides good tribrid stats, a stat boosting effect, and all of the skill cape perks (Ex. it acts as an Ava's device for arrows). For the helmet slot, bringing along a Fused slayer helmet, Frost slayer helm, Lava slayer helm, Master chompy hat, Molten chompy hat, Lava chompy hat, or Frost chompy hat, will be very beneficial because you won't need to bring helmet switches, as the majority of these helmets provide good bonuses in either two or three combat styles. Alternatively bringing along a Serpentine/Tanzanite/Magma/Viper helmet would work as well since you wouldn't need to worry about bringing along an anti-venom potion for olm. Ring wise, bringing along a ring like a Crystal ring, Lava ring, or Cursed ring (i) would be beneficial as these all provide good boosts in multiple combat styles. Bringing a full set of Void armor/Elite void armor is great if you need a lot of supplies, as the only extra gear you'd need to bring is the helmet switches, weapon switches, and accessories like rings, necklace, etc. Inventory Setup Some form of fire protection The Great Olm is a big ol' dragon, meaning you need some sort of fire protection. Most of the best weapons to use on the Great Olm are two handed, meaning you'll need a Lava pendant. Alternatively you could use a Cursed blade + Dragonfire shield combination or a crossbow + Dragonfire shield combination. Some form of venom protection The Great Olm will venom you with any attack he hits you with. To make the final boss of raids much easier, bring along an anti-venom potion, or a Serpentine/Tanzanite/Magma/Viper helmet. Note: The Serpentine type helms will apply venom to the Servant spirit as well as the Great Olm. Blood barrage runes (Death, Blood, and Soul)/Catalytic rune pouch Blood barrage runes are essential for easy raiding. Blood barrage will be used on Vanguards, Vespula, and optionally the Servant spirit that protects the Great Olm. Plenty of Prayer potions/flasks, Saradomin brews, Super restores, and high level food. Do I even need to explain why to bring these items? The quantities will need to be worked out by yourself, it's hard to put a certain number on how many to bring unless you test it with your own gear and adjust as you become a better raider. Stat boosting items (Ranging potion, Magic potion, Imbued heart, Twisted heart, Infernal heart, Enchanted heart, Max cape) Bringing these items aren't necessary but they obviously help with faster raids because you will be dealing a lot more damage. Luck based items (optional) Bringing along a Ring of wealth (i) and a Legendary luck pet, is entirely optional, as these items will only work on the demi-bosses. Note: Luck and Epic luck tokens will not work on the demi-bosses Boss Breakdowns Bosses are arranged in no particular order. A video about the skilling room is also included. In-depth Theatre of Blood Guide

The Theatre of Blood General Information The Theatre of Blood (Raids 2) is a challenging boss gauntlet where you run through 4 bosses before facing Verzik Vitur. Most of the rewards are best in slot items which makes the Theatre of Blood a profitable activity if you mange to hit the rare drop table. The rare drop table is as follows: For more basic info on how to setup a party check my Chambers of Xeric guide here. Gear and Inventory Setup My gear and inventory setup is as follows: Even though this is best in slot gear, it will still provide a good example of what gear you should bring. Let's break it down further. Gear setup Unlike Chambers of Xeric, you need to bring all three styles to Theatre of Blood. All three styles are needed for the third boss, so to make your raids efficient, bring all three styles. In my Chambers of Xeric guide I provided a few examples of gear setups for low, mid, and high tiers. I will not being going as in depth as I did in my Xeric guide for the reason that ToB is a more advanced raid. By the time you're doing it you should know what weapons are good to bring. For ToB, I highly recommend getting Elite Void. It is not required, but the bonuses you get from it, as well as the low amounts of switches between styles, makes it basically best in slot for ToB. If you do not have Elite Void, use your best in slot gear. Note: This will result in less inventory room for food and supplies, which is why Elite Void is highly recommended. For the amulet slot, I suggest bringing an amulet with bonuses for all 3 styles. Some amulets that you can use are, Amulet of torture/(or), Amulet of the damned/(t), Amulet of the corrupted, Amulet of Nardah, Lava pendant, or Sanguinesti Pendant. For rings, I suggest bringing a ring that has bonuses for all styles. Some rings that you can use are, Crystal ring/(i), Lava ring/(i), or Grand ring/(i). If you're using a bow/crossbow, use arrows/bolts for your arrow slot. If you're using something like darts/blowpipe, then I'd suggest using a tribrid blessing. Some examples are, Cursed blessing, or Chaos blessing. For the boot slot, I'd suggest boots with bonuses in all stats. Examples of these are, Molten boots, or Grand boots. For your cape/weapon/off-hand slot, bring your best in slot gear. Some good examples of capes are, Ava's accumulator/(t)/assembler, Fire/Tokhaar-kal/Infernal/Meteorite cape, and Saradomin/Guthix/Zamorak (i) capes. Some good examples of weapons are, Dragon dart/Cursed cannon/Vespine shortbow/Zamorak bow*/Blowpipe/Twisted bow, Chaotic rapier/Cursed blade/Ghrazi Rapier, Trident of the seas/swamp/Sanguinesti staff. * If you're using a Zamorak bow, use Zamorak d'hide armor instead of elite void for the extra 5% accuracy and damage boost. Video and Boss Breakdowns Maiden of Sugandiniti The Maiden of Sugandiniti is the first ToB boss you will encounter. She will primarily attack with magic, so protect from magic throughout this fight. Her other attack is shooting out blood pools. She will always put a blood pool below where you're standing when she uses this attack. She can shoot blood pools up to 2 squares away from your original position. So it is advised to move at least 3 squares away when you see this attack. If you are standing in the blood pool, you will be hit once every tick; the damage she deals to you with the blood pools will heal her for 100% of what she hit. On top of this, if you get hit by a blood pool, a blood spawn will appear and leave a trail of blood that will damage you if you're standing in it. The blood spawns will not roam to the North or the South of the Maiden, so even if you're hit by the blood pools you can avoid the blood spawn trails by standing in these areas. The last mechanic will only appear 3 times throughout the fight. Once the Maiden reaches 70% health for the first time, she will spawn spiders that will slowly walk towards her and heal her when they get to her. The Maiden will spawn spiders at 70%, 50%, and 20% hp. There are two strategies to deal with this attack, freezing and killing the spiders, and the brute force method. The brute force method involves attacking the Maiden and ignoring the spiders when they spawn. The spiders will only spawn 3 times, so to kill the Maiden you have to get the Maiden to 70% hp, wait for her to heal, get the Maiden down to 50%, wait for her to heal, get the Maiden down to 20%, wait for her to heal, and finally kill the Maiden. Pestilent Bloat The second ToB boss, the Pestilent Bloat, is in my opinion the easiest ToB boss. The easiest way to see how this boss is done, is by checking out the video down below. Ralph bank showcase

Today was the first time that I've price checked my bank in a very long time. I figured I'd check what it's worth today and found out that I've passed 1t (1.062t) To celebrate somewhat, I decided to showcase my bank to everyone that wants to see. It's not entirely organized at the moment, some things need to be moved around, but it's as organized as it's going to get for a while. Tab 1: Currency and collectables Tab 2: Gear Tab 3: PvM Tab 4: Potions Tab 5: Skilling Tab 6: Runecoins Tab 7: Fashionscape/events Tab 8: PvP P.S. All of my bank has been obtained through PvM only. #nogamblerman

    Lost epic luck tokens

Not sure what happened but I lost my 50ish epic luck tokens. I'm guessing I dropped them and didn't pick them back up before logging off in my Alchemical Hydra instance. Happened around 9 PM CST. Let me know if I can get them refunded, thanks.

    The next big Runex update

I wanted to start a discussion as to what the next big update should be to potentially send it off to Ryan and get his thoughts. I'm sure Ryan's already got somewhat of a plan of action for the next update, however, I believe as of the last update (Specifically, Max guild expansion, GWD superiors, and item additions such as Crestroot), Runex is full up on completely new content as of now. I'd really like to see some reworks/expansions and quality of life updates. For a suggestion as to what the next update should be, I had a couple of suggestions. These are just my personal favorites I've heard/thought up, and I'd love to know what other suggestions you guys have. Client update Runelite features I feel like adding more features that are similar to Runelite would be very beneficial not only for the current player-base, but as an advertisement piece to attract more players to the server. Adding features such as ground item names (with an edit option so you can change the color of specific items and remove others), loot tracker (different from collection log, shows actual loot, not just rare ones), and tile markers just to name a few. Sound I know there is a sound beta but at this point in Runex's development, it seems it was abandoned by Nate and Ryan. This one would not be as important to add, as the majority of players wouldn't care as much if this was added and might just play without sound anyways. Old content rework Skilling tasks I talked with @nota about some possible changes that could greatly reduce the amount of monotony of the grind. But how should Ryan go about changing them to make them more engaging. This would be done in a couple of ways: Updating the pool of available tasks would be a great start. For example, adding the rooftop courses to the list for agility training, more than just implings for hunter, and adding herb seeds for farming. We also currently don't have any tasks for thieving or construction. For thieving, the tasks would be pretty self explanatory: stalls, pick-pocketing, and Rogue's chest. As for construction, anything involving planks only (and nails for regular planks ofc), should be fair game. Just to make it so you aren't required to use items like gold leafs which would be unreasonable to require. The skipping system should also be reworked, I think it'd be a great idea if you could block 4 skills at a time to ensure you won't get tasks for those skills. I think having task streaks integrated into skilling tasks would also make them more engaging (rather than just skipping until you get a fast task). Like slayer this task streak would be reset upon skipping or blocking tasks and would give extra points every 5 consecutive task streaks. Superior bosses Oceanic and Hydra armor I know this has already been mentioned in a forums post by @Munchy (and technically added to the game, with the aforementioned GWD superiors), but I believe the old set of superior armors should be updated to have the same sort of mechanics. Superior Corporeal Beast (Colossal Beast) I believe @Iron Logic was the one to suggest this idea, but unfortunately I don't think he ever made a forums post for it or I just can't find it. However the idea was essentially a superior version of Corp that would spawn similar to how Emole spawns. The rate would most likely end up being less rare than Emole, since Corp generally takes longer to kill than Giant mole (I believe Giant mole is somewhere around 1/100, so for example, 1/50 for the Superior Corp). Mechanics: I think having an attack similar to Emole's with the vines coming out of the floor would be great, however I suggest implementing a more Corp themed mechanic, Dark cores. However I think it would be interesting if these dark cores were 2x2 instead of 1x1 (Colossal cores). At the beginning of the fight, the Colossal beast will send out a horde of Colossal cores relative to the amount of people fighting it, that will randomly bounce around the room and deal significant damage to players who don't move out of the way. You would also be required to use a spear or hasta to deal damage to it, and thus, get a drop from it. Drops: Similar to Emole, there'd be a guaranteed drop that could be traded in for similar rewards to Emole, with an uncommon chance at a Spirit shield or Holy elixir. As well as the same rare drops as Emole, including an epic pet with a passive analogous to Emole pet's passive. It was also suggested by logic that the rare drops for the Colossal Beast be a new sigil-like item that can be added onto any of the existing spirit shields. Upgraded Spectral: completely negates prayer drain at Cerberus and Olm, as well as buffed prayer and defense bonuses. Upgraded Arcane: 5% extra magic damage as well as buffed prayer and defense bonuses. Upgraded Elysian: gain a small amount of prayer points relative to the damage mitigation you get from Elysian's passive. For example, if the upgraded Elysian blocks 10 damage, you'll gain 1 prayer point. Upgraded Divine: somewhat inversely to the upgraded Elysian shield, the upgraded divine will give a low % chance (10%-20% would be good in my opinion) to mitigate a larger % of the damage at the cost of a few prayer points. That's all the ideas I've got for now. Feel free to add more quality of life ideas or content that you think needs to be reworked/expanded upon.

    The next big Runex update

I forgot to mention the part about having a Superior corp horn (Spectral horn or something). But yeah that's what I meant by "sigil-like" item that you can attach to the existing shields.

    Dragon claws spec

Even generally in pvp dclaws almost never hit. I'm fine with them being capped at 80 damage (at least in pvp) but the accuracy needs a buff for sure.

  15. Simply put this challenge is a bitch. I've limited myself to only the items I can purchase from ::shops. All shops are fair game besides the donator, vote, RuneX point, or achievement point shops. I did not allow myself to use upgraded pets either, otherwise I wouldn't need to bring prayer potions. My setup is as follows: It took me roughly 2 hours to finish the entire raid. I unfortunately had to take 3 separate videos. One split being due to confidential information, and the second being due to a 1 hour time limit on my recording program. Without further ado, here's the videos: I don't think anyone is actually going to watch these videos to be honest, but I wanted to provide them as proof that I actually completed the challenge. Hope you guys enjoyed if you did watch the videos though.

Let's talk about our current staff team.

I have to admit currently my activity as a staff member is low. This is mainly due to being busy IRL with moving to go to college in ~a week. I can only really speak for myself here, but I've made sure that the staff team is aware of my lack of activity over the next week or so. After I get moved in and into a routine at college I'll be able to be as active as I usually am. So for now, sorry for the slight inactivity.
