    The state of PVP

I agree that the current state of pvp is pretty bad, and it is something the staff and development team are well aware of. Internal discussions around this topic have identified a lot of key combat issues and imbalances that have been prioritized over adding new content to the wilderness. Nate has made some great changes in recent updates, fixing the magic formula, which was a key issue, though things like teleblocks, weapon imbalances etc still need to be addressed. But once those issues are solved, we have a metric tonne of wilderness related content for pvmers, skillers and pkers in the pipe line that we will poll in the near future. As for your suggestions, 1. I think a revitalized blood money shop would be amazing, but we probably don't want to add weapons like you described because it does essentially set a price to everything since blood money is much easier to attain at a set rate then say getting an e-maul from CoX. I think we can add pvp focused upgrades for said weapons in some cases, and possibly some new weapons and accessories. I'd also love to add a wilderness perk tree, where players can spend blood money and pk points (If they are added) to gain wilderness perks for skilling, pvm and pvp (Nothing OP though). 2. I think adding a banker and healer at the ditch will be great. As for getting the area more active, we could add in the pk points mentioned above and then give players bonus points for pking at edgeville ditch. 3. Revamps and new additions are definitely on the cards, one of the things I want to do is review every piece of wilderness content and evaluate its place in the current state of Runex, a lot of things used to be great, but have since been over shadowed and it is time we bump them back up a bit. Overall great suggestions

    Runelite+ Integration

I don't believe we have an official answer on If/When we may get Runelite integration. From what I have heard, since Runex is a highly customized server, Runelite integration will be tough and likely non functional with plugins that rely on reading items. Such as the ground item overlay, I feel like they would have added the Runelite plugin for this if it were easier than developing it themselves. I hope we get an answer as to if we will ever get plugins, and if not, why. I'll push this post to the developers and staff to see if they can give some more incite.

What you guys want to see.

    1. New staff members and a general change to the way in which 'Server Supports' are treated. The staff team has at times been a little club of friends, and this has brought about a lot of underlying issues. Being friends as staff isn't a huge issue, but when you are all friends beforehand and then all get staff you tend to bring in the same mindset, and their is less room for debate or disagreement on things like punishments and rule changes and even things like potential reports of staff abuse are seen/felt more personal than they should be. There is also the fear that if 80% of the staff team are friends and one leaves, another might leave, and then 2 more and then all 5 are gone in a short period leaving a huge gap. None of this is directed at any current staff, as I don't even play at the minute, but it had been an issue for years. Server supports should be 2 week trials for any players that apply and meet the criteria for staff, because no-one know how someone will act as a staff member compared to a general player. I voted against many players that turned out to be good staff simply because they didn't feel like staff material while they were a player. Everyone should get a chance and we would see a larger and more diverse staff team. 2. Events need to be toned down dramatically. I quit during every event because they are so overpowered, I can't play a relaxing RSPS if every waking minute I feel like I need to click 10000 winter imps because that's the fastest way to progress any account, main, iron, uim, hcim, gim. The events are a great way to get new players and a lot of the community enjoys them, but they are destroying our economy and we need to find a method to make them fun and attractive to new players without the drawbacks we currently have. 3. QoL updates. This is a hard one to talk about, because everyone seems to want QoL at the moment, but the last time we had an actual 100% QoL update, soooo many people bitched that there was no new content to enjoy. So it's hard to tell the developers what to do when they cop shit regardless of what they do for us. What we really need is some consistency, we don't need a huge content drop once a month, we need a specific day, be it weekly or bi-weekly, that whatever is ready gets released. Too often we have a 2-4 week delay on an update because of 1 thing we can't get quite right. So just release everything else and fix that issue for new week. 4. Discord bot integration. It may seem small, but having some fun bots for the community in the discord keeps our players around even when they are not playing Runex. Let's get that OSbot action rolling. 5. Voting Rewards. Runex has some of the most disappointing voting rewards of any RSPS. Chuck a simple donor mystery casket in the daily reward (Caskets are the lowest tier) or even a custom voting mystery box. People loooove these RNG boxes for that chance at bank loot. There are some servers I don't even play anymore, but I still vote on them every few days to make a load of money and get a bit of dopamine opening boxes, Runex is unfortunately not one of them.

    Revisiting the Nerfs of 2020

@Toxic Main On the kharazi stuff, it has never been properly rebalanced since release, back when MSB, Rune C'bow and granite items were considered good. It is a self-contained pvp minigame, and we need to be careful to not increase the time from start to end-game too much, otherwise new players just wont join in. I'm sure you'd feel differently about the balance within if Tranquil wasn't your friend and instead hunted you down, as what can you do to beat him, he's so progressed and has items that take 100s of hours to get with decent RNG. Touching on the rarity of the wilderness pets and donor mbox mega rares only highlights why they need to be removed, as someone will hit the jackpot one day and completely destroy the balance within Kharazi, both pvm and pvp. Kharazi should have their own cursed caskets, with the normal mega rares removed and the junk items replaced with things more useful inside of kharazi.

    Revisiting the Nerfs of 2020

Wonderful post. I think it is important to note that Runex was facing some big issued in 2019/2020 due to the excessive AFKing people were doing. 3 Alts at GWD just farming up those crests and runecoins while playing Rust or League, and we had to take some drastic action to fix it. However, each time we thought we fixed it, the players we were worried about just moved on over to something just as AFK or were able to circumvent our nerfs. We do need to go back and rework some of the nerfs and remove others, but before we do we will need to make some other changes. Such as splitting GWD in to two areas, one for the normal GWD for new players and one for superior GWD. GWD is meant to be a starter boss, but once you add a superior with some really good drops, it becomes end-game AFK fodder, which was the biggest mistake we have made to GWD. The accessories needed to be changed, and I see their current position as a good one, diminishing returns offers a better variety of set-ups to use outside of being a mega rich player with 18 pet switches. The Kharazi pet thing was the right decision, sure it is super rare to get one of those pets, but they offer a pretty big advantage to the player who obtained them. You can technically get things like a zaryte bow etc if you get lucky. Cursed Casket > Donor Mystery Box > Dumb OP shit for kharazi. The minigame needs an overhaul, but we never came to a proper decision on how to do it, since players already have OP stuff, but we can't exactly reset everyone and expect no backlash. On the topic of communication, Runex has always struggled, and Ryan and Nate are in the same boat. I've been trying to get them to communicate more for years, hosting developer Q&As, begging them to reply to suggestion posts and one of the last things I managed to do during my "Departure" from the staff team was to get them to promise to increase communications. Which happened for a few weeks. Their major issue is getting all the Admins together to discuss things each time a new 'communication' is needed. What they really need to do is talk to James once, and get a bi-weekly, or monthly schedule for communications. James can gather the topics players want to be discussed on a poll on the prior post and send those to Nate, Ryan and Ramzi to reply to in their own time before the next post is due. As for the suggestion squad, we need more members. Some previous members destroyed the trust that the staff team has for new members, and while it's nice to know that they trust Bind and myself, we may as well just discuss suggestions in our PMs, or in a group chat with Rawruwu, as he's the only other active member. It went from checking discord everyday to see 50-500 messages I need to catch up on, to 2-3 days without a message. The holiday season might explain some of it, but not all. I don't really care what Nate, Ryan or James have to do to get the team going again, I just want an actual team, so we can get shit done that the community wants to see. With SS communications, I'd love to make posts going through everything we discuss and their outcomes, polling for feedback etc, but no-one cares about a post from a player, the 'admin' badge is a magnet for replies because it is official. I have faith that Runex will thrive in 2021, and the community needs to be a bigger part of decision making, and that will happen as long as players like you keep speaking out. Thanks for this post, I look forward to seeing what comes of it.

    2020 Hween Event Changes

The Hween event is definitely lacking and players are expressing their disappointment. The SS and staff teams will be working closely with the development team in the coming days to fine tune things to improve the event. So please give us as much feedback as possible, no matter how obvious it may seem. Please be civil though, cheers.

    Rogues Castle Doors and Staircase

+ 1 for adding in the functionality of the castle with some high level rogues to kill, as well as some that allow for pickpocketing, perhaps around level 90 thieving requirement. Though we will likely see a similar mechanic to the lava maze ladder, where you can't just climb up and down constantly to get a log out, instead after a few repeated climbs, you'll have a short cooldown.

    The Conservationist

Introduction Hello everyone, one of the content ideas that the development team is eager to hear about is 'slayer alternative' content, the general idea being content with a similar draw as slayer, but that would be an alternative, rather than something you can do with slayer. Slayer itself is very central to RSPS and Runescape as a whole, a server without a good slayer system is one destine to fail, and a server that takes slayer and makes it better will thrive. Runex has a great slayer system, and it's about time we take the next step away from the usual content you'll find on a RSPS. So I present to you, The Conservationist, the antithesis to slayer. The conservationist will work similar to a slayer master, where he will assign you tasks of monsters to either cull or capture, but unlike a slayer task, these tasks will be open ended, giving players more choice. An example would be a task to conserve 127 dragons. Which allows the player to conserve any dragon in the game to progress their task. Tasks may also be assigned to a specific area, such as Cull 89 monsters in the Karuulm dungeon. These tasks will be broken up into the two forms as stated above; Conservation: Where players are tasked with capturing the souls of their task, and have a rare chance to obtain a perfect soul. Culling: Where players are tasked with culling an overpopulation of monsters, giving the player a rare chance to obtain conservationist urns. Conservationists' Dungeon The Conservationist will also have his own dungeon, which will house unique variations of common slayer monsters, and even mixtures of various kinds. These special NPCs would generally be a combination between multiple slayer creatures, such as an abyssal dark beast. Players can only kill the NPCs in this dungeon while on a special task, rarely granted by the Conservationist, or by an assignment scroll obtained from conservationist urns. Drops from these unique NPCs would be decided at a later date, but they would be highly rewarding. Conservation Urns The urns would require players to do X amount of conservation tasks, as well as a secondary task to kill a boss X amount of times. These urns would award; - Special task scrolls: Tradable and assigns the players a random special conservation assignment. - Conservation Blessing: Tradable and provides increased chance to obtain conservation urns/perfect souls, as well as a chance to not consume conservationist marks. - Conservationist marks: Untradable and provides 25% drop rate increase and 5% double drop chance while on a conservationist assignment, includes special assignments. Perfect Souls Perfect souls can be added to your very own conservationist dungeon and can be killed on and off task, though any rare rewards would be substantially rarer, or non existent off-task. The personal conservationist dungeon will be private, and contain a variety of rooms for players to place their perfect souls in. These rooms would be multi combat and cannonable. This would be a very similar system to the RS3 personal slayer dungeon: https://runescape.wiki/w/Sunken_Pyramid Perfect souls will come in 2 different forms (Both untradable); - Special souls: Obtained from special NPCs inside of the conservationist dungeon, and - Regular souls: Obtained from everything else. Regular souls can be combined to create a variety of special souls. Restrictions: - Conservationist tasks can not be completed in tandem with a slayer task, slayer tasks will take priority. - Slayer task boosts will not work with conservationist tasks, I.E slayer helmet, emblems, bracelets. - Luck tokens will not work on special assignments. Crossover: - The personal conservationist dungeon can be used to complete slayer task assignments If the NPC matches your slayer task. Though as stated above, slayer and conservation tasks can't be done in tandem, so slaying in the personal dungeon would prevent any special conservation task drops/urn progress. Conservation isn't meant to compete with slayer, but it will offer a fresh alternative, unique rewards and a great end-game dungeon that can be utilised to cannon/multi a variety of slayer/conservation tasks that can't be done normally. All feedback is heavily appreciated, this idea hasn't been discussed in the suggestion squad yet, but it will be, so get your thoughts in! Also, if you have any slayer alternate suggestions, please post them for us! Catch you all next time.

    Making Chompy hunting fun

Chompy hunting definitely needs some touches to make the content a little more useful after the log. I'd love to see a chompy boss, it would be really interesting to see players trying to kill a boss with ogre arrows/bow.

    UIm PoH integrity

I'd really like to see this implemented, but I don't see it happening due to the amount of time UIM has been out. I played UIM on release and got to fairly mid-game and the amount of things you can just store, lootbag and coffer just made it seem like ironman with extra steps. I'm fine with the coffers, but the POH storage is so OP, practically any gear or utility item can be banked without cost or obtaining a full set.

    Comp Cape (i)

Hey brother, sorry for the late reply. The suggestion squad has been discussing the possibility for a Trimmed Comp cape in the future, which would require additional achievements outside of those we would require for regular comp. That being said, I personally don't like the idea of any completionist cape being combined with a 200m cape. This is due to the completionist cape being a bridge between all experience modes, as most achievements aren't effected by Exp rates. The 200m cape on the other hand couldn't be further from that. Though a combination of a 200m cape, and a Trimmed comp cape may be something more passable depending on the achievements required for comp (t), if we do decide to add that.

    Keep pkers satisfied.

I've added this to the SS forwarding chat. I think the most likely thing to be added would be automated tournaments as we have discussed that a few times and it seems to be a popular idea. Though no real feedback yet from developers. We are also looking in to how we can better balance PVP on Runex, item balancing, untradables, tick system, combat triangle etc, as we wouldn't want to release PVP centric content with a sub-par combat system. If you can think of any of these kind of things we need to work on please let us know! Thank you.

    Future Runex Updates

Hey everyone, I wanted to start a discussion within the community around the future of new content updates for Runex. As a heavily OSRS inspired server with a focus on custom items, our players generally feast for new end-game content with new BIS gear and weapons to grind for. Unfortunately, this isn't the style of updates that can be maintained, as increasing the level of end-game gear has detrimental effects on earlier game content, and creates an oversaturation of gear and weapons that is incredibly hard to balance, leaving a lot of content to fall out of favour for the newer content. It seems that we tried a bit of an experiment when it came to Nightmares signature drops, instead of inquisitor being the new BiS, we gave it a niche BiS area, as well as decentish stats. I think this approach to new content is a positive shift, though not without its short comings. I ask the community to give their thoughts on this style of new content, and how we can adjust some things to make it even better in your eyes. I would also love to hear the types of new content that our community would like us to focus on. My favourite kind of content right now is anything that our end-game community can take part in and enjoy, without the need for BiS style rewards. Thing like a Rise of The Six barrows expansion, a new team or solo based barrows experience aimed at mid to late game players who want a bit of a challenge while going for their 500 barrows achievement or collection log. Any feedback on this post will be discussed among the suggestion squad, staff and development teams, and no feedback is incorrect. Thank you.

    Few Wilderness Suggestions

    1. Support some kind of NPC/boss with random spawns around the wilderness. Unlikely to be blood revenants, but can be something similar. 2. The pillar jump is an issue with being attacked after clicking the jump, the same issue happens with that one lava dragon by the revenants, you can fix it by running 1 tile back and jumping over again. The issues with pillars were reported ages ago, multiple times, but I'll add them again to see if they can get fixed. Rev emblem drops will likely stay as an announced drop as a high risk of doing revenants. Revenant ether itself doesn't really need new uses as the weapons themselves are very powerful, but require a lot of ether upkeep, as well as the cursed shard option. I'd be open to some additions to the shop, but things like c keys and boxes aren't really going to draw players out. The revenant teleport scroll should be moved, but not too close to revenants as that would be super busted for pkers to just teleport right on top of the pvmer the second they get a drop. Perhaps to level 33 wilderness next to the obelisk and ether trader. 3. Larrens chest could use a bit of a buff, especially on the lower tier loot, but the higher end stuff is still quite powerful. But I doubt much can change the current favour of brimstone slayer, given how easy it is to farm bulk keys 100% safely.

    Wilderness Revamp

Wilderness Revamp The wilderness has a big issue, there just isn't much content, and especially not much content that feels worth doing given all the nerfs made to the wilderness over the years. Another big issue is that almost every wilderness activity either has a teleport directly to it, or directly to the only exit. This makes doing wilderness bossing, pvm and skilling quite dangerous because a pker can just teleport to you in an instant and can check most popular spots very quickly. This high risk added to the forever diminishing rewards of the wilderness is slowly killing it, and I can point out a lot of places that are completely dead, such as lava giants. My suggestion is to add a lot more content to the wilderness, new bosses, new pvm areas, new skilling locations and even some new NPCs. To keep this somewhat neat, I will be posting pictures of specific wilderness areas and explain what I'd want to see added their and why. Disclaimer: In this suggestion I will suggest the addition of multiple NPCs that most players wouldn't go out of their way to kill. These NPCs wouldn't be like OSRS, instead, they will drop blood money, as well as each having some kind of rarer wilderness only drop, such as cursed caskets, higher amounts of blood money etc. Wilderness Chests A few of these locations include chests, and I will also mention lockpicks a few times in this suggestion. I'd love to see these chests come into use, as buffed rogues chests that require a lockpick to open and have a 15 minute cooldown. The lockpicks have a pretty high chance to fail, thus breaking and damaging the player as well as placing a 15 second logout timer on them. The loot would be mostly rogues chest loot, giving players multiple rolls, but could also include the rogues patch as well as a reinforced lockpick, which doesn't break (Can still fail and damage you) and is dropped on death. South west of the mage arena. Add Rogues that can be pick-pocketed around level 30 thieving for medium amount of coins and a chance for lockpicks. Wilderness Lever. Add the wilderness lever that can be used from edgeville. Magic Axe Hut. Add high level magic axes that can be assigned as a wilderness slayer task. They will be aggressive, but a single target area. Scorpia Cave. Add Scorpia as an entry level boss, drops would reflect the difficulty of the boss. Also add medium level venomous scorpions that guard the entrance, can be assigned as a wilderness slayer task, will uncommonly drop a venom gland that can be used to make super extended anti-venoms at 98 herblore. Rogues Castle. Populate the castle with rogues, ranging from lower level to really high levels (150+). The lower level rogues can be pickpocketed as already stated, and the higher level ones will also be pickpocketable, at a higher level, 93. These higher level rogues will have a very rare drop of 'Rogues Patch', which can be used to upgrade the rogues skilling outfit so that the effect also works on chests. Wildernes Agility. Remove this portal, it has long since lost it's purpose and makes escaping far too easy. We have mage arena, obelisks and the proposed wilderness lever. It also makes the high end larrens chest too easy to escape from. Wilderness Dungeon. Add this dungeon with various new wilderness slayer NPCs. We could add some easier things like Hill giants and Fire giants, as well as some more difficult/high level slayer NPCs, such as dark beasts. Random empty area east wilderness. Add Green dragons and have this area as multi-combat. Have these dragons pretty close together to allow for a riskier, but faster way to do green dragon daily/slayer tasks. Demonic Ruins. Add Black demons that can be obtained as a wilderness slayer task. Area north of black chins. Add some Moss giants that can be obtained as a slayer task. Lava dragon isle. Add Brutal Black Dragons that can be obtained as a slayer task, this can be a good alternative for the sometimes overcrowded brutal black dragons. Fountain of Rune. Add the Fountain and the chance to get an eternal glory, which can allow you to teleport from level 35 wilderness. We can also add the ability to enchant noted jewellery, this would be an extremely risky, but also dangerous way to make money. Pirates Hut. Add the pirates around 80-120 combat. These would be non-aggressive, these can not be assigned as a slayer task, but will drop lockpicks semi-rarely. Wilderness Volcano. Add some higher level fishing locations such as manta ray and sea turtles, these raw fish can also be cooked at the bridge of the volcano and can also be noted at a nearby NPC for a small GP fee. The experience would need to be fairly high to offset the distance required to walk between fishing and cooking. The NPC can also note raw fish, in the case that you need raw matna/sea turtles for an urn. Graveyard. Add some medium level skeletons and zombies that can be assigned as a slayer task, these would be aggressive and a single target location. Dark Warriors Fortress. Add various Dark warriors that can be assigned as a slayer task, as well as a trio of Elite Black Knights that can be fought only while on a Dark warrior slayer task. These Elite Black Knights would fight you at the same time, and have a special ability to knock your protection prayers off. These would rarely drop the unique armour set, 'Elite Black Armour' which looks really awesome and could provide a wilderness only strength bonus similar to dagon hai. Bandit Camp. Add bandits that are aggressive to you unless you have a skull, these would be high level (140+) and can be assigned as a slayer task and will swarm you without a skull. We should also add lower level fishing spots, as well as a range, shrimp, rainbow fish, lobsters etc. Graveyard North of Ankous. Add the crazy archaeologist as an entry level boss, add here since the normal spawn area is covered in ankous. Chaos Altar. Add this the exact same way as OSRS, with the unnoting NPC Frozen Wasteland. Add ice giants and warriors as a slayer task. Chaos Fanatic. Add chaos fanatic as an entry level boss. A few little issues to fix.
