big dick

I have tried all of that, however, I logged into my "guest" account on the Mac and it worked on there... Ive taken pictures on my phone of every kind of setting known to man on it and am going to compare the two to see what is holding it up. Will let everyone know for future references

Before anyone tags a link to other posts on the forums of how to fix a client, stop. Ive read them all. I have a mac. It is updated with all of the newest Java and JDK. I have uninstalled Java, reinstalled, I have tried everything. The client worked perfectly up until the last update. Now, whenever I load the client it says "Connection error- Retrying in....." and it starts a countdown and repeats the process over and over again. I have also reinstalled my Mac OS software to try and reset it. No luck. I do have Windows installed on my Mac as well and when I go and load up windows, I am able to play. However, the windows sucks and I prefer the Mac OS so much more. Could anyone pleaseeeeeeee give me a hand, or if you have ties to @Ryan ask him to PM me? Just re downloaded Mac OS hoping that would fix the issues. It did not.

@dunders mine did that the first time, now it just keeps having connection issues. annoying as hell.

Its just so odd that immediately after the update it won't work on my Mac only.. Thanks for the help anyways man! Any other feedback from those with ideas is still greatly appreciated!

Yeah it won't let me download it since its not a mac download or something.. Dang. I have windows installed on my Mac as well, I just went over to the windows portion of it and it downloads properly. I don't get it.

@52xp I just flushed my DNS and have reset my router and computer. The only thing I haven't been able to do is redownload via someone else. I would appreciate your cache uploaded whenever you get home. I have a Mac though for whatever its worth.

Thanks @Ally for commenting, but i have already read all of those and tried pretty much everything. I have no idea why it won't work... Really annoying because it was working until the previous update? It just keeps telling me I have a connection error while loading the client and it keeps a countdown going of when its going to try again. I've tried downloading it with four different wifis so i know its not just my internet connection.

Anyone else having issues loading the client since the update? It was saying "error loading game assets" now it is saying "connection error retrying in...." and starts a 25 second countdown. at the bottom of the countdown it says 25% loaded. Any help would be appreciated! Ive tried uninstalling, deleting the cache, pretty much everything. Thanks!

I do meet the 1 month requirement, I joined mid July. I do not have as much forum activity as I should. However, I try and comment on things when I actually have input. Usually, someone else has answered the issues on the forums and its pointless at that point for me to talk. I do appreciate the feedback though, @Safi.

Average amount of gameplay hours per day: ~6 hours 6. Why you should receive the position: Well to start off about myself, I have a degree in economics and am currently attending law school. Not that it is entirely relevant for an RSPS, but I have studied constitutional law for three years and know when rights are being violated. I know an RSPS isn't quite to the degree of the law, but the moderators are the game's police squad and the lawyers when someone is arguing their case for being banned. Ive been criticized by my in game name multiple times. My in game name is "Big Dick." The reason for this is quite simple. My name is Richard (family has always called me Dick for short.) and I was 250 pounds last time I checked. All my friends and fellow students in high school used to call me "Big Dick" and it has been my name for everything. As far as experience goes, I've been playing runescape since I was in 5th grade, roughly 10 years ago. I have been playing private servers since I was in 8th grade. I have a lot of experience with the game and have been on this server for quite some time now. I will always treat someone with the respect they deserve, and expect the same. I have also witnessed many of times when no one of staff is on when a crisis occurs. I have tried to help those in need when no one is on, but as a regular player, my power is extremely limited. The "help" chat can be a garbage fire at times when no one is on to moderate it. I've seen people spam the chat, take things too far when arguing with some, and use racist language that is most definitely unacceptable. I know everyone posts on here that they would be on a bunch more than the current staff members, but I think I really would be. I do not see staff members on much when I am not, with the exception of Roger. I don't think Roger is even fully here all the time when he is on! For those of you who know what gamebattles or UMG is: I was a Gamebattles referee for Call of Duty Modern Warfare all the way up until Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. For about 7 years I have been a referee and an admin on several Call of Duty games and NBA 2k games for both Gamebattles and UMG. With my experience as an in game ref, I was often summoned to private lobbies where two opponents had conflicting issues with both the rules, or what had happened in game. It was my job to collect evidence from them, listen to their arguments and situations. From this, I had to interpret the rulebook and apply it to their situation to figure out who is right and what to do from there. I would occasionally ban people for creating fake evidence, or would make people replay games when there was an issue with internet connection of the person hosting the game. Those experiences as an in game referee alone lead me to believe I am more than qualified to be an info player, or an in game moderator. I am well versed, fair, and very easily can remain unbiased. I hold everyone to the same, high standards I hold myself to and would love to help people out on the server anyway possible.
