  1. Bare in mind that this is meant for complete beginners. I understand it almost comes off as a meme video, but I have been asked how it works on more than one occasion by newer players in the last two weeks. Looking at making an Inferno guide next, followed by Elite Barrows. :^)
  2. Been seeing a little confusion in regards to what Rune Coins are, how they work, what they should be spent on, and where best to obtain them. I figured I'd make a quick (but longer, sorry) video answering all of those questions. I didn't take tons and tons of time to touch up the video and go through the trouble of recording myself demonstrating the methods I prefer, but I hope it's enough to help some of you newer players out. If you're still confused or need to know anything else, reach out to me here, via comments, in-game, or ask around and I'm sure someone will help you out. :^)
  3. Finally maxing, knocking out some more EB collection log & tons of other random achievements this episode. 🚀
  4. 'ello bois. Sorry for the editing mishaps on this one. I have already fixed the issue for the next episode (and any video from here on out). Really not sure how that happened so often here, but nevertheless.. we have gotten a lot done in just under a week's worth of gameplay. Looking forward to much more and a lot of fun activities on the horizon. Time to start the real grind. :^)
  5. I fully understand that Runex functions, especially in it's current state, more like a grindy, PvM focused RSPS that has great content across the wilderness to boot. I think changing a couple of things in regards to PvP similar to what OSRS has done recently would be great for the game overall, though.. and definitely adds a lot more unique content to Runex that isn't around on many other RSPS right now. We've always remained ahead of most other RSPS, if not at least on par with them.. and I think this is just another chance to maintain that momentum by adding Loot Keys and modifying PJ timers for both NPCs and Players. Here are a few links to the Development Blogs from OSRS' website: Loot Keys Update https://secure.runescape.com/m=news/nex-achievements-and-loot-keys?oldschool=1 PJ Timer Update https://secure.runescape.com/m=news/pj-timer--new-broadcast-settings-?oldschool=1 Alongside this, we could implement the new skulls (for a player holding keys) as well, seen here: In my opinion, adding a toggle for loot keys that requires a one-time fee of, say, 1,000,000,000 GP and 100,000 Blood Money could suffice. While coming off as expensive, it provides so much QoL to anyone PKing that it is beyond worth unlocking. As far as the PJ timers, I think we should follow suit more with OSRS and adjust how easy it is to escape anyone, regardless of skill, by just running into a herd of NPCs.. and we have a lot of those in our wilderness. Ankous, as a primary example, make it nearly impossible to kill someone if they are even somewhat competent enough to stay in combat with one, run south, and teleport. While I understand we're primarily a PvM-based server, I also understand that we have to maintain a healthy balance without going overboard and I hope this helps move us in that direction. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. 👍

    Aggression Pots

Beyond afk Slayer, I think we've needed this for a long time just for casual purposes like training at somewhere other than bandits long-term. Easiest +1 I've given on a suggestion thread.

    Experience Token Bug

I've noticed this probably hundreds of times but, honestly, never thought to say anything about it because it never clicked in my head that it was an actual issue. @Dragon Paws mentioned earlier that he was getting different experience drops while making Mahogany Tables in his POH (gl on 200m Construction btw). It turns out, this doesn't only happen with Construction and actually happens with any skill you train while using experience boosting tokens (skiller, combat, catalyst, mystic, etc.). For some reason, there seems to be a lack of overlap when performing an action that gives a high enough exp drop. This results in a significantly (roughly 20-30%) lower experience drop every few actions instead of the full amount. In this case, I tested with Mahogany Tables on the Supreme game mode. You get 16,800 base experience. With Catalyst Tokens (x3), that is now a flat 50,400 experience. The issue is, the first action provides the correct 50,400 experience with the second providing 38,779. This is an overall ~25% exp reduction for no apparent reason, as if some of the tokens didn't work at all. I made 12 Mahogany tables (3 inventories) to see if I could find some kind of pattern to hopefully make the issue easier to be found. Here are the results of those: 1.) 50,400 exp 2.) 38,779 exp 3.) 50,400 exp 4.) 50,400 exp 5.) 39,600 exp 6.) 50,400 exp 7.) 50,400 exp 8.) 39,600 exp 9.) 50,400 exp 10.) 50,400 exp 11.) 39,600 exp 12.) 50,400 exp This was done with over 4,000 Catalyst tokens in my inventory and no other experience modifiers active. It seems predictable after testing this to expect less experience every third action. This could be happening because of an issue with overlap in the tokens use, such as some fraction of one token being used, e.g. 1,400/5,000 bonus exp of a Catalyst token. If that's the case, maybe we look into how that could be better? I don't know where the outlier 38,779 experience drop came from.. but I'll let you work that one out.. :^) Normally, you may see something like this when you run out of tokens in the middle of the action. Since Construction (and many other skills) are based on experience per material used (one plank is worth X amount of experience), it would be similar to getting 3x experience (with Catalyst tokens) for 5/6 of the planks used, but not the 6th one. TL;DR -- There is an issue where, on every 3rd experience drop (of a certain amount), players lose 22% of the total experience they would have gained while using experience boosting tokens. I'm hoping this makes some kind of sense to you (Ryan), because I can't think of a better way to explain it.

  13. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the ULTIMATE GUIDE to RUNEX! It has been a long time since this guide existed. Given the fact that it was never fully completed the first time around, I think it's about time I finally fix that. This guide will take a long time to complete and will endlessly be updated as new methods, bosses, minigames and content in general are released. Because of that, I welcome any and all help keeping the guide as up-to-date and accurate as possible. If you would like to help out, notice something wrong, or just want to talk - hit me up on Discord at 52xp#0001. I, along with the community, would be grateful for your contribution(s)!
