    Unsure what checks will be done but in case it helps, it happened within a few days of 11th November, still have the scroll in my bank and as far as I know the only way to get the scroll is through buying with wanderer tokens.

  4. Hi, was in a KBD instance and tele'd out and as I was leaving I claimed the pet without realising my inv was full so it went on the floor and couldn't get it back. Has no accessories or anything on it

  5. Quick video showing how I kill Hydra with BIS gear and infernal elixir, wasn't perfect I can get kills down to 1:45-1:50 but it's more to show where I stand and run etc.

    Gear used: Frost Slayer Helm (on task), Infernal Max Cape, Sanguinesti Pendant, Dragon Arrows, Twisted Bow, Morrigans Leatherbody, Morrigans Chaps, Corrupted Bracelet (i), Boots of Stone, Ring of Law

    Edit: Some things I've noticed in 100~ Hydra kills that aren't in any guides

    0:23 - Hydra sprays acid after the first 3 ranged attacks of the kill, so you don't really need to count the attacks at the start. Just switch to mage pray after Hydra sprays acid.

    0:35 - It's fine to lure Hydra to this acid pool even on 1st phase. If you pray correctly it won't hit you and the damage buff from the pool doesn't matter. This just saves time luring the second phase to the pool after you kill Phase 1.

    0:57 - I'm not worried about lightning spawning here right away. It normally takes at least 3 attacks for the lightning to spawn so I don't need to worry about running until after 4-5 hits from Hydra.

    1:10 - Once again I don't mind running directly west when the lightning comes. As long as you pray correctly, the damage buff from the chemicals doesn't matter, and it saves time luring the 3rd phase onto that pool to lower defence when it spawns.

    1:20 - Third phase almost always (I'd say 95%) moves to the middle of the room after it attacks you twice. There's only been a handful of times it has gone to the middle after 1 hit. More importantly, those hits count towards the attack style changing. This means that after the flames spawn, Hydra will attack you once with the style it was using, then it switches.

    2:08 - Same as the 1st phase, Hydra sprays acid on the floor after it does 3 attacks. For example, it will attack with Ranged, Mage, Ranged, Acid, then it keeps the cycle and attacks with Mage.

    3 comp capes in game after the server has been out for 2+ years? (Obviously not counting the 2 or 3 on inactive accounts). Surely that seems challenging enough. Lowest in game time for comp cape was 62 days, reaching 1010 raids would add an unnecessary amount of time on to that


  7. Hey there,

    The bank loadout feature is extremely useful, however it can be time consuming to remake your loadouts if you improve gear that you use throughout all loadouts.

    Personally in the last few games I've upgraded helmets, rings, shield slots, and glove slots that I've been using in 6-8 loadouts that I have setup. So when I got a new ring, I had to withdraw a loadout, go back to the bank to free an inventory slot (because most loadouts have full inventories), withdraw the new ring, close the bank, equip the ring, open the bank, put the other item back in the inventory, open bank loadouts, then setup the loadout. And then repeat that up to 9 times depending on your loadouts.

    I suggest being able to change single item slots in the bank loadout interface. For example, in the loadout you click on the ring slot, then it opens your bank and you can select an item, and if it is an item that can go in the ring slot, it replaces the ring slot in the loadout with the item you selected. This would really streamline the process of changing loadouts when you upgrade your gear.

    It is no secret that the comp cape is genuinely not worth the time it takes to grind for it, yes it's basically an achievement cape to say you've completed everything the RuneX has to offer, but the holders of such a cape need to be rewarded in a much better way.

    I also agree with the Grand Comp Cape suggestion, with there being a grand max cape, there should be a grand comp cape also.
    (But it should just be a cosmetic look of the comp cape, same as it is with the meteorite cape, no stat boosts etc)

    @Logical's suggestion for adding max capes would be a good idea, but would void the suggestion I am stating below.

    I suggest that it should be a cape that manages all 3 styles like the meteorite cape is, just a little better though.

    I suggest:

    • +3 to the attack stats and a +2 to the defensive stats.
    • A 2.5% magic damage bonus (which the meteorite cape doesn't have)
    • A +1 strength bonus
    • A +2 Prayer bonus
    • A +2 Range bonus

    This would make the cape the best all-around cape.

    Let me know if you feel these stats should be different or any sort of changes.

     

    I completely agree, completing all achievements should be rewarded at least with the opportunity to create the bis cape in the game. Stats look fine that you suggested, obviously balancing and stats is more up to Ryan and Ramzi but giving it the stats to make it best all round cape seems fair.

    I think this cape should be buffed in the following ways;

    1. Allow them to be upgraded to the high end max cape variants such as infernal, god capes, vorkath head etc.
      These would be made by using a max cape variant on a completionist cape. I.E Infernal max cape + completionist cape = Infernal comp cape. 
    2. Grand completionist cape should be made the same was, by combining a grand max cape with a completionist cape. Simply adding an enchantment for a grand completionist cape kinda takes away from the grand max cape. This way we can have both grand max capes and grand completionist capes that require the same enchantment to obtain. 

     

    I definitely agree with you and James that the comp capes should be made with the max cape variants (i.e infernal max cape + XXX million gp to make infernal comp cape, etc)

    Last night I was the 3rd active player to achieve the completionist cape - the reward for maxing stats and completing all achievements.

    The stats for the comp cape are +3 all attack, +6 all defense, +1 strength and +2 prayer compared to the standard max cape.

    However, in the time it takes to achieve the comp cape (took me 61 days in game time, the quickest out of the 3 current comp capes in game), players will have almost certainly purchased one of the upgraded max capes (i.e infernal max cape). These upgraded max capes are more viable to use in end game content even though they can be obtained with only a few days of play time.

    I suggest the completionist cape should be customisable like the max capes are (using god capes, infernal cape, vorkath's head, etc) and have the stats scale by the same amount the normal comp cape is compared to the normal max cape.

    I would also like to see a grand completionist cape in the enchantment chest in the same way there is a grand max cape, using the same ingredients except using an infernal comp cape instead of infernal max cape.

     

    Achieving the completionist cape is such a massive, time consuming and expensive grind, the reward shouldn't be inferior to capes you can make within a couple of days.

    Obviously these changes won't cater to the vast majority of the server; there are only 3 active in game with 3 or 4 coming very close to achieving it within the next few weeks. However, making the comp cape viable in end game use would be a great reward to those who dedicate so much time playing the game.

  10. All memes and jokes aside, this is so desperately needed. The server's "quiet time" still has 100+ users online with 0 staff. As Logical said, new players can't get the help they need, veterans get frustrated at the lack of control in the server and the players who normally stay in line due to staff presence turn feral with 100+ players there to watch.

    Not to mention their experience would be greatly valued as well. Logical and Vise both have years of experience moderating either Runex or other private servers, so it's not like you'd be promoting veteran players who don't know what they're doing and have no experience.

    To be fair, there are some problems that would arise from these players being promoted. Any incidents involving players from happythots or murder will obviously want to be dealt with in different ways by different staff members. No matter how much people want to stay indifferent there will always be a slight bias either way. Also, having a recently demoted staff member being promoted again may not be the best thing in some people's eyes. However, I do think there are ways around these problems if the people involved and the higher ups go about it in a mature way and focus on what is best for the server, which is having active staff during a dead time zone.

    Of course, some people may think that I am biased since I do know both Logical and Vise pretty well, however looking from the outside it's clear that staff is desperately needed during the quiet time

  13. Mods feel free to remove this or move somewhere else, but since I've seen a few ban appeals from people who have done nothing wrong and are very confused about their bans, I thought I should post this.

    There is an infrequent bug that I've had happen to me and clearly a few other people have experienced. When entering login details and hitting log in, you receive a message saying "You have been banned. Please check the main site for details"

    If you are experiencing this bug and you have not been legitimately banned by staff, pressing log in again will log you in. Please try this before posting ban appeals if you think you have received a ban message by mistake

    You'd be surprised how many people have 30 days playtime, using the owners as an example of playtime is unfair as they are busy with real life and coding the server. Most moderators/staff would have well over 30 days play time, which isn't hard to do in the almost 17 months the server has been running. The fact that you think 30 days in game time is overkill and an unreasonable amount of time to play shows how little you know about the server

    Edit: He said ; From the analysis it isn't a virus that stays on your computer or launches on startup, it would just scrape and send off your google chrome data when the client was first loaded. We recommend players to run a virus scan to be 100% safe
