Ryan 873 Posted June 22, 2019 Content updates: Summer event 2019 We're excited to introduce this year's Summer event which will be active until August 21st, 2019 There are a variety of different activities to participate in, all of which earn you Summer gems that can be spent at the event chest Global rewards are back! If you have at least 25 rolls, you will earn FREE rewards when the server reaches certain milestones For more information on the event, speak with the Nature spirit at home! Cycled activities Every few hours an activity will be under the "spotlight" The following content can be under the spotlight: 1 hour activities: Raids Boss slayer tasks Barrows runs Skilling tasks Task scrolls 30 minute activities: Impling catching Crystal chests Lava chests Vorkath runs Nardah sarcophaguses Summer comets Every hour, a Summer comet will fall from the sky and land in the Catherby summer beach. It can be mined by the entire server for a consistent amount of summer gems until the comet is fully depleted The better your pickaxe, the faster you'll earn gems from the comet! All players have a rare chance to receive 100 gems from one swing This is probably the most relaxed activity in the event, and is great to enjoy while chatting with friends! Solarkath (World boss) Every four hours, Solarkath will rise in his lair (non-wilderness), and the entire server can participate in defeating him! Any player who deals at least some damage will receive a drop! Don't worry if you're a low level player! The Nature Spirit will give you an exclusive Summer wand which is required to deal damage to Solarkath; no matter your combat level, all players deal the same damage The summer wand's spell will also grant you Runecrafting experience! Summer dragons (Solarkath's minions) will also spawn around him when he rises! These dragons can also be killed with the summer wand, and have global drops for some extra gems Home improvements We have made our final adjustments to Runex home, and you should notice some major improvements! Credits to @Solo Drops for creating majority of the map region via map editor tool Credits to @Kong for designing a large part of the new home's blueprint The raids portal aesthetic has been improved, and is now placed where the leaderboards originally were A new Runex castle has been added, where the leaderboards can now be found (including some new guildmasters!) There is an "Enchanted garden" at the center, containing two magic trees The crystals will be involved for future content. Stay tuned! A bridge has been created between Edgeville and the adjacent region, where a new Edgeville market has been created for thieving! The altar of occult and the nurse have been conveniently placed right next to the home teleport location (and player respawn point) We now have a yak and chicken pen outside of the Runex castle for new players to train at home! There are many other changes, make sure you log in and see it all for yourself! Completionist cape customization The completionist cape can be freely customized & personalized to your liking, including the color of the particle effects! Gameplay changes, QoLs, and Fixes: Gloves of silence Boosts rare drop rate from rogue's chest by 25% and reduces damage taken at rogue's chest while worn Wilderness only drops The following drops will now only drop in the wilderness: Cursed casket and blood money (all wilderness monsters and bosses) Bag of riches from green dragons and ankous To reflect this change, a lot of the new "Wilderness only" drops now have improved rates Extended anti-venom potions Double the duration of standard anti-venom Created by combining Clean fellstalk with Anti-venom Super anti-fire potions Lasts 25 minutes with 2X dragon fire portection compared to normal antifires Created by combining Superior dragon bones with Antifire potions Nardah minigame Extended nardah teleport scrolls Five more minutes of the nardah minigame time compared to the standard scroll Obtainable from sarcophaguses opened with tomb keys Sand mummies and cursed mummies can drop extended nardah scrolls Grimy snake weed added to the following drop tables: Jungle demon Jungle dragon Jungle titan Jungle casket (common) Fixed debug message from blowpipe special attack Fixed attack style tooltips for mace weapons Fixed the spinning wheel at home Fixed bug map regions surrounding Edgeville (Varrock, wildy border, etc.) 2 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
