Kong 213 Posted April 18, 2019 SKILLING OVERHAUL So, @Ryan has already said that he's working on a skilling overhaul with @Nate, so I thought I'd quickly make a list of suggestions for them to see before they do so. I think these suggestions would be a nice touch if implemented to Runex and are overall nice alternative methods of training. I have not gone into detail in each skill section, however, I have provided a link for you to read up on them if you wish. What do you guys think? Would these be good additions? Let me know in the comments below. (My apologize if you have already suggested one of these suggestions, I just wanted to make a list of skill revamps). Solo830 8 Posted April 18, 2019 Hmu with them advanced courses under agility as well. And idk, im against wintertodt or whatever it is. That would just be using less supplies.
celaz 0 Posted April 18, 2019 good ideas to add to the game, everybody knows that skilling isn't always fun and this could make it a little less annoying and encourage more people to train every skill
Vise 178 Posted April 18, 2019 Can 100% agree on firemaking, agility & Mining. As I believe they're the most slacked on skills.
pr ime 60 Posted April 18, 2019 +1 to mining, smithing, agility and firemaking. For mining it could be less click intensive, but if it would be added and it will be the exact same as osrs. The granite trading for ores at the desert mine would be useless at that point or there would be to many ores coming into the game. For smithing a big yes, because we can have some variation. For agility a big yes aswell, since we only have 3 courses which makes agility very boring quick. For firemaking a big yes aswell, because it's getting boring quick same as ^^. Iron Logic 910 Posted April 18, 2019 Not sure if it's a coincidence, but 52xp made a suggestion post very similar to this one ages ago: Ryan even voted it as his favourite post, yet basically none of it was added even though he made the suggestions almost a year ago. 3 hours ago, Kong said: MOTHLOAD MINING Very needed. 35-99 at the same place on the same rock is just.. the thing of a shit server, not what we should have on Runex. 3 hours ago, Kong said: BLAST FURNACE I don't really see a need for this at the moment. All bars come in to the game from NPC drops at an alarming rate, only time you should need to smelt is for achievements. 3 hours ago, Kong said: ROOFTTOP AGILITY I'd prefer to see advanced gnome, barbarian and wilderness courses added. 3 hours ago, Kong said: ROGUES DEN Not needed, there are a lot of ways to train thieving and from 84+ you unlock the rogues chest which is amazing money. 3 hours ago, Kong said: FISHING TRAWLER I'd love to see this added and modified to be soloable if needed. 3 hours ago, Kong said: REDWOOD TREES I don't think we really need this to be honest, maybe with the farming guild forcing players to grow their own.\ 3 hours ago, Kong said: WINTERTODT Firemaking is dull and boring. Make this minigame soloable and we are golden.
Wings 12 Posted April 18, 2019 How about bonfire firemaking instead of wintertodt? I know it aint 07 scape-ish, but neither is summoning. @Iron Logic
Zezog 2 Posted April 19, 2019 Rooftop agility would be fun but what about an agility course for donator zones
nota 35 Posted April 19, 2019 Wouldn't mind a farming addition, I personally see this as one of the more annoying skills. Besides herbs all you do is plant and harvest watermelon. Anyways huge +1 to everything.
Iron Tyrant 0 Posted April 25, 2019 I'm 100% for these proposed ideas, as they could serve as a huge welcome for btws as a different way to train skills/obtain materials. I also definitely wouldn't be opposed if new rewards can be made or gained from doing said activities. I'd like to make a suggestion to include Construction, more specifically the costume room. Not as an overhaul per say, but currently there are a good number of items that are missing that would otherwise be an appropriate fit to store inside, such as the heraldic helmets, the studded body/legs trimmed and gilded, couple of the vestment pieces, among others. The biggest reason why I bring this up is a lot of these items are currently clogging up bankspace, and as newish addition to RuneX, I'd like to keep these items in case I need them for task scrolls since they could potentially use these items, so I don't want to get rid of them. Also helps with the whole completionist thing. Tl;dr: Please consider expanding the list of items that can be stored in the costume room. Thanks!
