As some of you may know, there was an arguments section on the RuneX discord. Now since this section existed I personally believed it would be quite obvious to the staff that there would be some hostility, and rude language, therefore, people would not get punished for such behaviour. However, this is not the case as multiple active members of the RuneX community have been unjustly punished including me. Now I would not be so tilted over the ban if it had not been over my behaviour in a clearly designated hostile area. To add to my disdain for the banning reason(s) the arguments in the channel were also incited by a staff member telling people to go argue in the channel. I personally believe that anyone punished for their actions in the #Arguments section of the discord when it was available should have their punishments removed, as not only was it very obviously a channel that would continue some "unruly" behaviour, there was no strict set-out guideline or rule system for the channel and the behaviour was egged on by staff.

It's #Arguments not #Happyteapartyclub.

100% it was put in discord and people used it for such. I do not think its right for punishments to hold because of the channel. If anything it would be the staffs fault for putting the channel there in the first place. Very misleading to the community from what I see.

I mess with Batty a lot online, but I agree, if he was arguing int he argument section of discord and got banned, i feel it should be reversed.

They are aware of the ban, since Ramzi did it himself and Ryan said it wouldn't be overturned. 

I believe the use of this topic is to inform the community of what happened and to get enough support behind him to make an effective change.

I'll take the time to say again, I completely agree with Batty here. We [The staff] added the arguments section to the discord so that we could send players there to avoid spamming in the general discord or the clan chat. We marketed it as an area that allowed players to argue, it was a NSFW section and if you didn't want to go in to it you didn't have to.

The Staff [Moderators etc] should be the ones to blame for the creation and advertisement of this section. It is really upsetting to me that multiple players were the ones who received a punishment for something we told them was okay to do.

I myself being one of the moderators who told players to argue in that section would gladly take the punishment instead of the players, because that is the right thing to do, our failures and mistakes are ours alone and any player unfortunate enough to be caught up in a mess because of them should never be punished. 

I'd encourage all of the fellow staff to review this topic and all of the supporting posts and let the community know your stance as I have.

Thanks for putting this so eloquently I appreciate that you took the time to fully explain your opinion and I'm glad you're not intimidated against speaking against your higher-ups. My intention was to bring this to the light of the community and not let it get swept under the rug as personally I see it as a blatant misuse of power banning us for doing NSFW behaviour in a designated zone for that it's like getting banned from pornhub for posting a video of you and your girl having a root just doesn't make sense.

As many of you already know, I recently resigned, but, I'm going to place myself in this category.

Arguments was good.

Plain and simple. 

People are going to be toxic regardless and having a place where people can vent more than the norm is a good thing.

As long as the new chat was somehow monitored to avoid things like racial slurs it should be reinstated.

seeing as how I was encouraged to take it to the arguments chat when I was banned I whole heartedly agree with batty logical and not so much with kliksa to avoid further run ins like these keep the arguments chat GONE. I am permanently banned from runex discord for the fact I argued in it and I am also permanently and indefinitely muted in game which makes runex next to impossible to have fun on. It creates a whole game where all I have to do is hang out with myself and do things by myself, scaping is no fun that way and I hate the fact I am so “toxic” to the community when I’ve never been toxic to anybody in my opinion maybe once or twice, but I love the runex community (for the most part) and hope you all take the time to read everyone’s responses and enjoy your time on runex.

You were all for helping these guys when Roguemx was banned. Why are they still punished for the things you agreed should be overturned?
