Can't open client - Mac

Recommended Posts

This is very odd.

Today I woke up and played Runex for a few hours. After that I went out and came back home 5 hours later. I tried to logon Runex and it said that the client had updated. I downloaded the client from the website and when I tried to open the client it only showed "Runex auto-updater" or something like that for a brief moment and then it closed.

Java should be fine, Spawn PK works fine and also other rsps. Its only Runex that doesn't work. I have played Runex on my mac for weeks without any problems until today.

Tried all kind of different fixes but now after a couple of hours I have given up lol. Any suggestions?

Hi @Specialx

I'm sure where it is located on a mac but if you delete the cache + the client and redownload them from the home page it should be fine.

I cleared all the cache and still don't work :/

When i try to use cmd (or terminal as its called on mac) to open the client, it says:

Loader initialised!

Checking for updates..

Client up to date!

And then nothing. (Normally the client starts to load here.)

Have you tried this?

Thx

Yes and it did nothing :(

I’ve never used Mac or OS X so I’m pretty clueless, you 100% sure you cleared both folders .runex and .runex-data and deleted the client before trying a fresh install?

Yes and yes. Also tried with installing an older version of java, still don't work.

Other rsps are working just fine. :l

Is there perhaps an alternative client that I could try?

Atm I got SE, i tried with jdk but nothing happened.

Downloaded loads of other rsps just to try and not a single one had a problem.

I really don't have a clue what to do. Appreciate to support.

P.S

I also noticed that it doesn't create a runex cache since the problem started.

(I tried to download the Runex cache manually but it did nothing :( )

I did all that just now and still the same problem. (other rsps is still working fine.)

Is there a second client, like at SpawnPK, that i could get my hands on? A client without the auto-updater or something, idk.

lol. I finally got it to work. I just did this, and re-downloaded the client.

Mac/OSX system
open up "Terminal" and enter the following commands separately:

rm -R ~/.runex
rm -R ~/.runex-data

Thanks again for the support.
