52xp 308 Posted June 12, 2018 RUNECRAFTING Runecrafting is one of the slower skills here on Runex. While there are multiple methods from 1-99, only two of those methods stand out above the rest and are worth pursuing. We will highlight those methods and a lot more below - sit back and enjoy. :^) Table of Contents: 1.) Required & Useful Items2.) Altars & Locations3.) Efficient Method 4.) Other Useful Info 1.) Required & Useful Items Fortunately, on Runex all you need to start Runecrafting is Rune Essence or Pure Essence. As well as this, via Frumscone at the ::abyss teleport, you can acquire Rune Pouches that hold extra Essence. There are also several different experience bonus items on Runex to capitalize on: Spoiler Skiller Tokens Grants 2x Skilling experience per 10k exp earned Catalyst Tokens Grants 3x all experience per 5k exp earned Varrock Armor (1-4) Grants 5-20% (1-4) all experience gained Safety Gloves Grants 2.5% all experience gained Fighting Boots Grants 2.5% all experience gained Skilling Backpack Grants 5% all experience when worn Studious Elixir Grants 25% Skilling experience for 60 minutes Scholar's Blessing Doubles the effectiveness of exp Tokens 2.) Altars & Locations The entirety of your Runecrafting training will take place in three areas.. Spoiler The Abyss: The Astral Altar: The Cursed Caverns (Dark Altar): 3.) Efficient Methods While you could use any Runes for 1-99 Runecrafting, two stand out above the rest.. Spoiler Method one will rely on Nature Runes from 44-99 Runecrafting. Due to how close the Nature Altar is to the ::abyss teleport, this method is often preferred. 1-9 ~ Air Runes 9-14 ~ Earth Runes 14-27 ~ Fire Runes 27-35 ~ Cosmic Runes 35-44 ~ Chaos Runes 44-99 ~ Nature Runes (x2 at 91 Runecrafting) Method two will rely on Astral Runes from 40-99 Runecrafting. Due to how close the Astral Altar teleport is to the Altar itself, this method is often preferred. 1-9 ~ Air Runes 9-14 ~ Earth Runes 14-27 ~ Fire Runes 27-35 ~ Cosmic Runes 35-40 ~ Chaos Runes 40-99 ~ Astral Runes (x2 at 82 Runecrafting) 4.) Other Useful Info Below is a list of how much experience you get per Rune crafted & a graph of Runecrafting multiple Runes: Spoiler Credits to the Official OSRS Wiki: Levels required for x2 Runes from Runecrafting (you should never need to obtain more than x2): Rune Lvl for 2x Lvl for 3x Lvl for 4x Lvl for 5x Lvl for 6x Lvl for 7x Lvl for 8x Lvl for 9x Lvl for 10x Air 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 88 99 Mind 14 28 42 56 70 84 98 (112) (126) Water 19 38 57 76 95 (114) (133) (152) (171) Earth 26 52 78 (104) (130) (156) (182) (208) (234) Fire 35 70 (105) (140) (175) (210) (245) (280) (315) Body 46 92 (138) (184) (230) (276) (322) (368) (414) Cosmic 59 - - - - - - - - Chaos 74 - - - - - - - - Astral 82 - - - - - - - - Nature 91 - - - - - - - - Law 95 - - - - - - - - Death 99 - - - - - - - - Air Runes ~ Runecrafting Level: 1 Normal: 675 expHard: 250 expSupreme: 100 expPrime: 15 exp Earth Runes ~ Runecrafting Level: 9 Normal: 877.5 expHard: 325 expSupreme: 130 expPrime: 19.5 exp Fire Runes ~ Runecrafting Level: 14 Normal: 945 expHard: 350expSupreme: 140 expPrime: 21 exp Cosmic Runes ~ Runecrafting Level: 27 Normal: 1,080 expHard: 400 expSupreme: 160 expPrime: 24 exp Chaos Runes ~ Runecrafting Level: 35 Normal: 1,147.5 expHard: 425 expSupreme: 170 expPrime: 25.5 exp Astral Runes ~ Runecrafting Level: 40 (x2 at 82 Runecrafting) Normal: 1,174.5 expHard: 435 expSupreme: 174 expPrime: 26.1 exp Nature Runes ~ Runecrafting Level: 44 (x2 at 91 Runecrafting) Normal: 1,215 expHard: 450 expSupreme: 180 expPrime: 27 exp
x phat x 0 Posted June 12, 2018 Nice guide. Since you mentioned the Dark Altar, I think you should add that you can craft Death, Blood, Soul and Wrath(shitty XP) runes there. Also you get 2x the runes and 2x the XP there(at least on a normie account). Furthermore, there is a pure essence mine next to the Dark Altar, so imo it's a bit more afk'able than other methods, if you bring a pickaxe.
Dragon 9616 15 Posted June 12, 2018 Excellent guide! I actually learned something from the guide that I was not doing while getting my Runecrafting to 99. That was the short command version for abyss. I thought the only way was via spell book. 🤔🤔 I guess I am not very attentive. Haha

I was tempted to mention it, but in my opinion it doesn't provide any knowledge towards 1-99 as the method is not safe and hardly used. I will however add below the Cursed Caverns image that you can craft exclusive Runes their for 2x Runes as a bonus tip. 5 hours ago, Dragon 9616 said: Excellent guide! That command is a very useful one for speed purposes, especially in Nature crafting. Thanks again for the feedback. ♥
scorpio 0 Posted March 5, 2019 The map for the altar is wrong. You put the route to the mine. You get pure ess at the altar itself. Which is shorter. Right past the ankous on the left.

Asia23 0 Posted August 5, 2019 (edited) Hey, thats pretty usefull guide. I was playing so long, and still learned few things from that runecrafting guide. To complete the information I'm using this guide https://mmoauctions.com/news/osrs-runecrafting-guide and both together are very very helpful. Thanks!
