Can MacOS run the jar? It is not working for me.

Same, .jar doesn't work and compiled client is just out of date

You can try this.

 

1. Remove ALL Java versions from your MAC
2. Install JDK-8u151 (JDK!! Not JRE).
3. Set the Java Home to the new installed JDK (export JAVA_HOME='path')
4. Remove the cache
5. Start client and run the repair tool
6. Restart client & Play.

if that doesn't work then some people are having issues because of OSX security settings, so try messing around in there.
