GETTING THERE

There are three different ways to get to the boss room.

1. Through the boss teleport interface (requires Kill Count to enter the boss room) [NOT RECOMMENDED]

 

After clicking teleport you have to run south-east and climb over the rocky ledge:

After climbing the ledge you have to kill 30 saradomin minions in order to be able to enter the boss room.

 

2 - Ardougne Cloaks [RECOMMENDED]

Another way to get there is to buy the ardougne cloaks from the achievement shop. The first cloak can teleport you straight into the boss room 1 time per day and the last cloak can teleport you there 4 times per day.

After buying the cloak all you have to do is right-click and select teleport, and then select the commander zilyana option.

 

3 - Boss Portal at your POH [HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]

If you have a boss portal in your player owned house you can teleport straight into the boss room as many times as you want.

 

 

GEAR

You can kill commander zilyana easily with store bought gear, but the better your gear the faster you will kill.

Low-level gear:

You can buy the decorative mage set  and the book of darkness in the achievement shop, and the rest of the gear on the magic store (except for fury and row(i)).

It's okay if you don't have a catalytic rune pouch, in that case just bring the runes for blood barrage.

 

 

STRATEGY

The strategy for this boss is pretty simple. All you have to do is stand a few squares west of the south-eastern corner and attack the boss. This is so that 2 out of the 3 minions will stay close enough to the boss so that you can attack all 3 mobs at once.
