  1. Hey gang, @twitch and I were talking about potentially meeting up next year when I move to the USA (Pennsylvania). Thought it could be interesting to see if anyone else lives in the Pennsylvania / New Jersey / New York area that would like to meet up? I'll bring my RuneX cosplay, ofc.

  5. I recently created a thread that suggested an automatic ban-system to be introduced to RuneX, where players are banned after 3 seconds of entering the wilderness if they are multi-logging. However, a few valid points were brought up. Why have I decided to try and come up with a solution to multi-logging punishments? Well, I see people being accused every day that they're multi-logging in the wilderness, whether it be by a pker or by someone that is getting pk'd. Not only is this annoying to see, but it also causes a lot of drama in the clan chat - There was literally a 30-40 minute argument in chat by 5-10 players today because someone was accused of multi-logging in the wilderness when it was actually two different players pk'ing together. What are some of the points/issues regarding my suggestion that was addressed?: "What happens if two people (e.g. brothers) are playing under the same room? They can't just be banned": This was brought up by @twitch, and it's a very valid point. To this, I stated that the system could simply check to see whether or not the two accounts are being used within the same computer/system, rather than a general IP. Raw has stated that staff are able to actually check this, so there would be no harm in using this in an automated system. "What if I accidentally log in to my second account, without remembering that I last logged out in the wilderness, I would be banned...": Another fair point. Introducing the auto-banning system would not work well in this case. "We, as staff members, already have access to this information and can teleport to players / view their IP / accounts to see whether they are multi-logging": This actually raised an alarm for me, because it shows that staff aren't currently aware of players multi-logging unless a player is reported. And, in most cases, a player is NOT reported. I hate to say it, but it's true. Most people just start getting angry in the help clan chat and saying "Wow USER X is multi-logging", but when they are told to create a report on the forums (e.g. if a staff member is not online at the time) they say they have no evidence, and by the end of it, it's too late. Obviously, there are times when players are reported and staff members check them out, but a lot of false reports are said in chat and it can all be a big waste of time. The solution After posting my thread on the Discord, I spoke to @Raw a bit about the problems & points that were brought up in the thread, and together we discussed a possible solution that could be incorporated if Ryan is interested. Basically, it would work like the anti-botting system for thieving. If a player enters the wilderness on a second account, while on the same computer, they will be teleported back a few spaces and a warning message is to be sent to them. What happens if I try to log in to my second account and it's in the wilderness? Well, here, I think it'd just be best for the system to check to see if this is the case, and if it is: simply send them a warning message. For example: "Please leave the wildy on your first account before logging in, as your second account is in the wildy". (Just a draft warning message) I don't know if this would be the best solution to this client issue, so feel free to suggest any I think this solution would work because: It's a friendly system that doesn't require harsh punishments There will be fewer arguments in chat about people multi-logging & accusations, because it'd literally be impossible now Staff will no longer need to go through the hassle of trying to get evidence out of players, and then they say "I don't have any" It's a way to warn players that are unaware of multi-logging as a punishment

    Name Change Request

Hello, I'd like to change the name of my Prime Ironman, 'Bar v4'. I would like to change his name from Bar v4 to Bar Fe --------------- Bar v4 -> Bar Fe --------------- I have 500m on the account 'Bar', in the bank, that you can take out for the name change.
  7. I'll try to keep this short, but I decided to create this thread after @Logical's recent thread about Halloween; I have a few suggestions regarding future updates. 1. Give staff more input - I don't personally know how much input the staff team gets when it comes to server updates, but it seems like they don't get an awful lot. The staff team is extremely active on RuneX; Every person on it has a huge knowledge base on how the game works, and I think they know what's best when it comes to the server - They should be able to provide input and feedback when it comes to updates. 2. Give the community more input - I understand running a large private server isn't always easy, and you can't look at every single suggestion that is put forward, but I think there should be a day, or a week, where suggestions are looked over by the staff team (Or Logical, he is extremely active in the suggestion section of the forums & discord) before an update is put out. There are a lot of great suggestions put forward by the community, and I think most of them go unnoticed. Correct me if I'm wrong, I have no idea how often these go through to @Ryan. Ryan & Ramzi should work WITH the staff team for future updates, they know what's up! Don't get me wrong, it's not like any of the previous updates were terrible, I'm just stating how I think they should be approached.

Neutral. Never played this gamemode myself on a server or OSRS, but it seems interesting. I have a feeling not many people would do it, but you never know. Could have some kind of deadman mode event instead.

  15. Hey Y'all, These ideas just came to my head: It would be cool if you see other players stats in-game by typing ::stats <name>. Obviously, this would require quite a lot of time to code if it was an actual in-game GUI, so if that's not something Ryan would want to work on, then a simple line-by-line message to the user with the stats could work. EXAMPLE: "::stats Ryan" "Cooking: 99, XP: 43593459345" "Farming: 94, XP: 3945394534" "Etc, etc, etc" "Rank: 2" I also thought it could be cool to get real-time high score announcements for players in the top-ten. So, when a user overtakes another player it could announce "<User A> has overtaken <User B> and is now rank 3 on the highscores".

Honestly, I don't want any new wilderness features added. Pking is never going to be active on RuneX; Ryan has tried to change this up by adding in the Cursed Cavern, Wilderness Slayer (in the cavern), Lava Maze, Bosses, etc..., but all you get is a bunch of ironmen and new people raging because they're killed while trying to grind out lava feathers, lava keys, monsters in the cursed cavern, etc... Adding more features to the wilderness is just going to cause the same thing over and over, which is geared people rushing others that are trying to train in the wilderness. The only active person that I see properly pking is @Roger, because he challenges people to 1v1 with risks, etc - I'm not having a go at the people that do "rush" others, I'm just saying that's the way it is and it probably won't ever change.

    Cash ingame

+1 to any of these, anything to get rid of the gold in-game. I, personally, would like to see some more cosmetic stores as a money sink. Could have some untradeable ones that are only bought in-game with gold. One example that was recently suggested on the forums was a TBow skin; Weapon skins would be pretty cool to see in-game.
  18. This could be cool, might require a little more time but something I'd love to see. It'd take about 15-30 minutes for Ryan to code something like this (simple text version), haha. I have 0 RSPS coding experience but I'm pretty sure it'd be easy, all you'd have to do is get the server to recognize the command ::stats, and then grab the users levels from the database, as a number, that is then sent back to the user in text fields.

    Take care of players

I’m sorry but this just doesn’t make sense to me. You, alongside the other moderators and helpers are on the staff team because you are trustworthy and know how to deal with users. Ramzi shouldn’t be the only one doing tickets, you guys should be allowed to help out with them and answer players, especially when you’re the ones that actually interact with the community the most. If I were you guys I’d be badgering Ryan/Ramzi about this, especially when people are complaining about ticket times taking too long. This isn’t a shot at Ramzi, I just think you guys should be given more freedom and responsibility to complete tickets because you’ve proven yourselves. EDIT: I just saw your post about having access to passwords, IP’s, etc... - Can they not be blanked out and left at a severity level of, say, ‘extreme’ or ‘private’ and those ones be left to Ramzi? Or some kind of alternative that let’s staff set a temporary password for users that need a reset, etc...

    Bar's Suggestions

Hi friends, I have some suggestions. Add abyssal demon or any other notable monster to ::ezone Rather than having four sides of ::ezone being backed with green dragons, remove some of them and add any other monster that would make the area more popular Add a spell that allows users to catch imps from a distance or allow users to open doors/gates. I have run past many ninja & dragon imps that are stuck in-doors or behind a closed off area Add a farming area to ::dzone or ::ezone Add an imp leveling guide. A lot of people don't know what level they can start doing imps, and don't know what level each specific one is. Add sounds to RuneX - could start with just a few? Possible skilling ones. Add an item to the RuneX point shop, donator shop or Runecoin shop that picks up runes for you when you kill a monster. Notify users when a crystal key is dropped at all times (the server currently tells users sometimes, but not all the time) Add more hunting methods. The current ones take a very long time, and some of them are bugged (unless they have been fixed) for example tropical wagtails, which you can't catch. Add a pinging system to the chat that can be toggled on & off. For example: "You still want to buy some drugs off me? @Logical" - This will then send a low-volume ping sound to Logical if he has pinging toggled on. Add a sound that pings users when they receive a rare drop. Could be helpful for people that are multi-tasking / playing on multiple accounts. Add a weekly money making task. Something that is hard but very rewarding, and resets each week. Add more official events. A Friday Night Games could be fun, run by staff, the leadership team or a select few members of the community. Add a notebook or some of system that allows users to write things down. I find myself adding works to my ignore list when trying to remember something. Sometimes you can catch a "big swordfish" when fishing for swordfish, they have no use. Maybe add a new food item or 100-250x cooked swordfish as a reward to the magical chest, which can be gambled for with x amount of big swordfish. Add tree farming Add seers village yew trees as a woodcutting teleport Add more vote rewards, or limited time rewards for each specific day/week from voting Add a reward for the top 3 voters of the month Add a ::trading zone (possibly the grand exchange area) where players can buy/sell, or just hang out at
