Another idea could be not allowing any attacking after the timer ends and allow the player to stay in the pyramid for 10 seconds or so. Or the idea above about automatically picking up any valuable drops. Maybe something similar to raids where all drops just go into a chest that you can loot at the end of the game all of these obviously requiring a bit of dev time but yeah

The Hardcore symbol is the regular iron symbol literally unplayable

Actually I think they might be talking about the chance of receiving medium tasks, for me if I have my mouse on hard task it sometimes selects boss tasks

I think they might be talking around the click region for the tasks - for me when I put my mouse on hard task it is selecting medium task
